It refers to the release date of the game, not the movie. Your thread title is very misleading.
Changed the thread title.
Yeah sorry that was my fault,I was just going to pm you to edit it
yay! a new game!
Best video game adaptation of a film ever? Goldenye.
When did it come out? Two years after the film.
Let that be a lesson.
If they hit that date, on all promised formats then I'll eat my Worlds Smallest Soundwave.
Unless they've been working on a game for a fair while, engines and such, and are just adapting it to the movie it'll be very rushed
Eh, it's been done.
And the release date doesn't surprise me at all. I am a little worried but then we've known a movie game was in the works for a while so it's probably coming along nicely.
If not, it'll still have to try hard to be worse than Tatakae.
Ohh! This I gotta see, if it happens, can you tape it?
for the love of god i really hope we can be the decepticons and FLY this time
I have zero faith in any movie tie-in game, regardless of the property.
I agree with Joe.
Look at what Activision did to the "Official X-Men 3" game? They slaughtered it. Absolutely horrible game. I expect the same for Transformers.
Yup. But it's not just Activision. Look at the crap tie-ins that EA put out. Hell their Superman game was so bad they pushed it back to November to try and fix it.
There are a few exceptions, but they are very few and far between. Chronicles of Riddick comes to mind, which was actually ten times better than the movie. Or a game based on an old movie usually works (Godfather and the Warriors).
I can't believe there hasn't been a decent game for the Transformers. It really seems that the possibilities could be endless. I really hate games that follow the same story as the movie. Do a prequel or even better a sequel to the movie in game format.
I liked the Armada game, but it was far for great.
I thought the Enter the Matrix game was pretty good. Not sure how much time they had to make that, but it came out the same day as Matrix Reloaded. If they're just starting the Transformers game now, it has a much higher risk of sucking hard. Games don't have 200 million dollar budgets like movies, so they just can't crank out quality material that fast; it takes time. They would do better to have the game arrive alongside the DVD release of Transformers - that would give the game an extra 6 months development time.
bah, whatever, i want a transformers game as long we can transform and FLY!!!
If they have to make a game, one to support the classics line would be a better option.
I'll be chagrinned if the game turns out to be just as awesome as the old "Beast Wars" game.
I tested that game
You were young and didn't know any better.
