If they're actually signed, it's news.

If they're still in talks, we heard it before.

I don't know how much money scriptwriters usually get, but 8 million seems like a lot to me. hope the money is worth it.

Well, if four of Alex and Roberto's films have made studios 1.4 billion dollars world wide, then its is probably money well spent.

I think this thread is news, because it confirms them being signed on and paid. The news in the previous thread reported that they were in negotiations.

Hmmm... maybe those Arcee frea... supporters may get their wish.

I don't like Orci very much, but I'm glad that they've already got people on board.

    Arcee is toooooooooo small. =\

She should be fodder. We need Grimlock. Him and Ironhide would be bad ass fighting together. Oh man.

At least there's some good news... they got scriptwriters hooked up.

Won't hurt my feelings if Arcee's not included in TF2.

Hey, fastballspecial... nice sig! You a Red wings fan?

It was only natural for the original writers to pick up the movie from where they left it. I think any other writer would have had a hard time keeping the movie consistent if that was what they were looking for.

Not to say it couldn't have been done better by other writers but case in point, Fantastic Four 1 & 2 almost felt like two different franchises. The second being far superior IMHO.

    YOU TAKE THAT BACK!

Even though the story for Transformers isn't much, Orci is awesome. He may very well take my suggestion that Scotty suffers under the delusion that the engines are not up to the task for which they are designed, and indeed, may explode at any given moment.

Glad to see they're definitely back on board.

Now just hope nothing from that truly awful treatment even so much as peeks into the final script.

I hate hearing fans dismiss Arcee because she's small. Yes, she's only what, nine feet tall? So? That's a good thing.

She's super-fast, stealthy and ninja-like. She could climb on top of the bigger bots and blow their heads off before they even knew what hit them. You know, like have you ever had an itch on your back that you couldn't reach? Now imagine if that itch had a gun and could kill you.

I really hate how apparently so many fans don't want a motorbike TF because he/she would be too small. Variety is the spice of life, there is only so much you can do with cars... Size doesn't matter, and I would assume a fanbase comprised mostly of men would remember that.

I just watched FF 2 and it was way better than the first one although the franchise still has no idea how to handle Dr. Doom. "Victor"? Come on and call him "Doom" already.

So you've already written this movie? Interesting.
And a certain type of robot is more appealling to women?

Again, how would Arcee bring in female moviegoers? If they are into it enough to know there is a "female" robot then they are probably already fans. I saw the movie in theater four times and there were a lot of women in the theater. I have a female cousin who has seen it more than I have.

Honestly I think its cool that they are keeping the writers cause utlimately they were not to bad with the movie at all and its good to keep the a continuity in minds behind the ideas. There were obvious deficits with showing the personalities but I hope every one including Bay got the hint that they need to work on fleshing out the characters.

Last Note it sounds like they are thinking of either reworking the Current Transformers designs or bringing in designs that didnt make the first movie. Like people have stated here RC could finally make an appearance.

I think RC would be awesome give the correct role. Making her more like a Robotic Vixen, basically a Mike Bay girl but in robot form showing off her curves
    :)  lol

I feel stupid saying it but I think it would really look cool on film just envision it.

Again, if you think the script for the first movie was bad, be glad that Bay decided to completely ignore Tom DeSanto's original treatment. BOY, does that think suck.

When did I say that I wrote the movie? I'm merely putting forth a type of scenario that many fans haven't thought about. That's why I wrote my post in the conditional tense, I never said "Arcee's in the movie and she's going to do this." To use a sarcastic tone like that when all I'm doing is giving a "what if" scenario, the same kinds of scenarios that fans have been imagining for years, why does mine get singled out?

And when did I say a certain type of robot is more appealling to women? I re-read my post several times and fail to see where that comes from.
