Wasn't that Hound's beef in the original cartoon? Or was it Mirage?

Mirage and a couple other bots wanted to return home, Hound was one of the few that liked Earth.

I think It'll come more from that fact that the Autobots become concerned over the damage they are doing to Earth (In general) and the loss of Human life, and would rather take the war back to Cybertron.

I could see Ironhide and Ratchet leading the charge for a return home. And possibly dying in the end trying to protect a group of Humans.

    my reasons why:

Ironhide likes fighting, realizes on earth he has to becareful of the Humans and can't really use his weapons like he would like because the fear of massive damage.

Ratchet, being a medic he would try to protect the Humans and see the war on Earth as too destructive, Where on Cybertron if a Transformer is damaged they can be repaired. But on Earth He's limited in what he can do, and might have a sense of guilt for not being able to save Jazz as they were away from Cybertron and even the Ark.

Nice to see if they do include that. Cause there were quiet a few bots in the original series who we're very techy about going home.

Also if u think about it Earth is EXTREMELY different to what they have known and some would undoubtedly have trouble adapting.

As long as it doesn't become a big green environmental preach-fest, that's cool.

Could be interesting as long as it's not an excuse to shove hippy enviromentalist bs into an action movie.

Hell yes! What made the best superheroe movies the best of the genre? The angst that their characters have and how they dealt with it.

So, how can you give a giant robot angst? Maken him homesick!

    Definately works for me.

This sounds like a good issue for the TFs to be deling with. Hopefully it should add some depth to the characters if we can see their feelings around such an issue.

You know, you might be on to something. I mean, Mirage in the three-part "More Than Meets the Eye" pilot wanted to go home so damn badly. Hell, he even went on the Decepticon ship without his Autobot buddies knowing.
