Thats crap about Bay thinking we've already seen the transformations, the one thing ROTF lacked majorly, was that there was not alot of Transformers....transforming... I hope they fix that in the next one.
Can we stop bringing the same ol' complaints into every TF-Movie Related thread that's not discussing such? Its getting tiresome.
Our first official images of Alice, Reedman and Soundwave... long after the film came out, but oh well.
Uh, what? There were a ton of Transformations. In the first 5 minutes you, have Optimus transforming 3 times, the Arcee's transforming, Sideways transforming back and forth, Sideswipe transforming, the twins transforming, Demolishor Transforming, and Ironhide transforming. Throughout the rest of the film we had plenty of Transformations, even for nobody characters like Grindor. They just didn't make as big a deal about it this time around. Virtually everyone transforms at least once, many twice, some even more.
Yeah, but there was constant blatent ways of them hiding the transformations (Sheet infront of twins, bike wheel in front of wheelie) Or you seeing Ironhide as a truck, then it cuts away, and he's a robot, it would still be nice to see all of this happening. I know it takes a long time to animate but still. Plus I would still like to see Optimus transform in a non close up, non rotating camera transformation. Most transformations take place so close to the camera it just looks like parts (Ironhides first transformation, Primes truck to robot in the air) Etc. At the end of the movie, the desert NOT ONE SINGLE TRANSFORMER is shown transforming besides Devastator. After the Twins got their new alt modes YOU NEVER see them transform, Never see ratchet transform, etc etc. Its not a Major flaw, but it would be nice to see more of it, they are Transformers after all.
I think what they actually meant to say in the opening paragraphs of the article was that we had seen them transforming in much the same way, but Bay wanted something different for Alice and Reed Man. So we ended up with a pretender for Alice and a ball-bearing gestalt for Reed Man. Thus ILM do the more conventional transforming big bots and DD do the more unusual ones. All five of them transform after all.
Soundwave Face Image, More on Reed Man - CGSociety I searched for this on here and was unable to locate it so I hope it was not posted ... have not had luck in the being first on the news deal. Anyway ... was surfing the net and found this image of ROTF Soundwave's face. I know it is not a full image but I think it is the first clear image we have had of him outside of the movie and the toy. I then did some more research and found that it was from the CGSociety website. With some more searching I found that it was associated with some information on creating Alice, which I know someone else posted previously ... Anyway, I thought I would share.
