    OPTIMUS PRIME (The Resurrection)

    1984 toy problem/issue:
(Had him, transformed to robot mode, who is this suppose to be? Is this really optimus?)

The biggest and baddest Autobot of all time feared by the enemy and respected by all, too bad the toys never lived up to his reputation. The Masterpiece prime was the closest but was still too cute to really call Prime. I had to change that, so what I did was make a custom that didn’t move away from the original but mirrored the original at a larger scale with a lot more modern technology and improved proportions. Pretty much my main goal was to create a g1 figure that was more g1 than the original, 80’s style, with 2011 technology. And this is what I came up with. Introducing the Resurrection of Optimus Prime!

    Special Features:

-Massive figure which stands 15inches tall, no need for a stand this monster stands on its own two feet
    -Comes with matching masterpiece trailer
-Transformation remains relatively the same as masterpiece version
-Painted in classic generation colors using only the best and most durable enamels
-Articulation overload, including head on ball joint, articulated hands, arms and legs have 360 degree rotation as well as 90 degree ratcheting joints in shoulders, elbows, and knees

While the alt mode suffers slightly, that absolutely BAD-ASS bot mode makes up for it!! Sick!!!

THANKS SPOONMAN, yeah thats actually the most difficult part of building custom transformers. You have to give and take for both modes but yeah im glad you think the badassary of the bot mode makes up for it.

I really like the extra joints, and the figure looks cool, but it does feel very compromised. Anyways, great work :thumb

With this one, it seems like the arms and legs were extended just for the sake of doing it, and in turn, the alt. mode got a shit end of things.

I don't really fig it as a singular toy, because MP prime is already fairly large and really articulated, but I do like that you're consitant with your customs, because this looks like it'd look awesome standing next to your Magnus.

im kinda getting a movie prime feel from it. with the really long legs and arms making them look skinny for a G1 prime. but still, great work!

No worries fellas, I was trying to concentrate more on the bot mode than the alt mode. I was trying to create a custom that had better proportions and was able to do more dramatic poses. If you check out the video you'll understand a lil better. Sorry these pics didnt do it for you guys.

Right on Limewire and yes it does mean a lot, I wish some of the classic designs would recieve a lil more love like the new movie figures. It would save me a lot of time and money.

    appreciate it jgoss!!

That was the goal, thanks for noticing

No worries, some like em big and some like em small all depends on preference...lol you might not like GRIMZILLA, hes a big boy...lol.

Right on Danny, I knew you would appreciate this figure:)

I like the sleeker bot mode. I would've added more red to the area between the shoulders and forearms. It'd make the lankiness less obvious. The alt mode was definitely compromised for this, but I give you points for trying to make it work.
