    METROPLEX (The Unstoppable BattleStation)

    1984 toy problem/issue:
(Impossible to find growing up out of the price range for my parents. If you did find one it wasn’t that big and it looked like a stiff white brick)

A battle base for the autobots that also transformed into an unstoppable robot force, how coo was that. The only transformer strong enough to take on Trypticon. Too bad he lost every time because he couldn’t bend his arm or leg…lol. This custom started off as an authentic Japan version re-issue Metroplex. So what I did was make a custom that didn’t move away from the original but mirrored the original at a larger scale with a lot more modern technology. Pretty much my main goal was to create a g1 figure that was more g1 than the original, 80’s style, with 2011 technology, and better proportions. And with a little bit of chopping, stretching, and bulking this is the custom I came up ULTIMATE METROPLEX.

    Special Features:
    - Stands a towering 16 inches tall!
    - Light up LED eyes,
    - articulation overload; head on ball joint, articulated hands, arms and legs have 360 degree rotation as well as 90 degree ratcheting joints, articulated hands and foot.
    - Transforms from battle station to robot just like the original from the 80’s.
painted in classic generation colors with a twist (thought plain white was pretty boring) and painted using only the best and most durable enamels

Despite my complete and 100% total despising of all rap music I loved your video. This guy looks spectacular. If I had things the police call money I would totally own it somehow. :)

You sir, may take a bow.

Yeah I think he needed to be, the original was so short and stubby. And in the cartoon he towered over everyone.

hahahah, sorry to hear that but im glad i made you open up your palette of music a lil bit...lol

    Thanks for the compliment!!!

so effing amazing. I have my metroplex from when I was a kid. it's one of the few originals I refuse to pull parts off of, so that one day - i too, can revamp. I'll be using this one as my inspiration too.

This is one of the first metroplexes i've seen based on the G1 mold that didn't look like super long legs with a tiny body on top. It still has a litttttle bit of that, but overall I think you did a fantastic job. You even fixed a nasty burr in his rotator cuff!

This and in addition this is the first time I've seen one that could both give him extra height and yet retain the bulkiness of the original w/the huge chest arms and legs. I'll say it again, your proportions are simply perfect. Your Metroplex rocks!

Plus, holy crap, that BFG is the mother of all BFGs!!! I love the way you tied it into alt mode too!
