G1 Soundwave has a copyright stamp inside the battery compartment dated 1974.

You know, even in 1974 I don't see Astrotrain as being Skylab. Omega Supreme, on the other hand... That aside, there were concepts for vehicles like a Space Shuttle, and the project itself dates back a long time, even if the first flight was only in 1981. Like, for instance, the Orion shuttle in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
