I've had this since Saturday via NYCC, but now that the comic is out I will share my thoughts on it, first some minor stuff:
-I liked the conclusion to this arc. I hope we do follow up on Sandra's betrayl eventually to see what consequences she suffers.
-Onslaught was a jerk in this issue starting that fight & I fully expected Prime to point his finger at him, maybe even saying "he did it "
-Loved Cosmos in this issue & how he dosen't feel appreicated, hope Costa has more plans for him.

Now, onto the big thing, the ending of the issue. I have no problem with the CONCEPT of a political assasination of Bumblebee, it makes sense that at least one of the people protesting there is going to be unwavering in thier opinion & possibly a radical. Having that character flaw means Costa wrote the character well, even if Joe Schmoe dosen't have a name & is just there to shoot BB. What I have a problem with is the execution, I want to know HOW he got that gun & WHY he had it on him(I'm assuming the why is becuase he wanted to spill some oil no matter what, but a solid answer would be nice). I want to belive that Transformer killing tech should be VERY scarce & hard to acquire, and this guy having it is pushing my suspense of disbelief. I hope that the next time we check up on BB we at least get some dialouge about the assasin if not an entire investigation sub plot about how he got the gun(could lead back to the Machination).

 

My Store didnt have copies of this (but had other IDW issues that were due this week) is that my store or anyone else?

 

Maybe the gun was Megatron? Or at least a Transformer.

 

That's a possibility; Megatron could mass-shift into a pistol and deal some serious damage, for example.

 

When I commented on that on the IDW boards Andy Schmidt said that we'll get answers to that   Personally

That's just what I was thinking. You can tell looking at the design of the gun, it's kind'a obvious. But over all, good book!

 

I'm thinking it's a gun of the same type Spike used against Megatron.

Anyways, pretty good. Moved at a pretty decent pace, unlike Part I of this arc. Nice resolution to the whole "Sandra" subplot.

Though to be honest, I saw the last panel coming as soon as Bumblebee actually asked humanity to trust them.

 

Between this and the recent accident on the set of tf3, its been a bad couple'a weeks for good ol bumblebee  

 

I liked it,
-I too was expecting the Gun to do nothing ,but turning the page i was like "woah, BUMBLEBEE ,please be ok"
-Onslaught(i think it was him) laughing on the ground "Heh, heh ,heh" was really funny for some weird reason

Did they ever say who was going to be on the art in #13?

 

Guido Guidi is doing the art duties again, I believe.

 

I wonder if Ratchet will fix BB by rebuilding his body back to it's old VW style because he always liked the original form better anyway.

And total   at Onslaught the Dick. He just went up several notches on my IDW Favorite Characters list.  

 

i thought nick roche was on art for issue 13? or was that issue 14? one of them anyway!

also, i havent read the issue, but could the shooter have been a facsimile?
andy scmidt (sorry if i got the name wrong!) did say recently that they would be getting back to a few of furmans earlier plot threads, answering a question about facsimilie is believe.

 

I was thinking that too or maybe a facsimile gave the dude Megatron to take out BB.

 

i think i heard that don had re-designed megatron so i dont thik they would re-introduce him as a pistol in this way, could be very wrong though!

Apparently so, unless we have some confusing timescale shifting that's just a TF killing gun & nothing else. I still think it's the return of the Machination though.
