Buyers beware when you buy from this website.

I bought a deep desert brawl leader class figure from mr. Matthew camaratta who runs the site and i never received it!

I paid for priority mail shipping + delivery confirmation. To make some extra money on me, he shipped it via parcel post without any delivery confirmation or tracking number.

I filed a claim with paypal and not to loose the battle mr. Camaratta mailed me an empty envelope with a delivery confirmation number on it. What a smartass!

Paypal saw i received "something" with that delivery confirmation number and closed the case, deciding it in his favor.

When you pay with paypal outside ebay, paypal doesn't know what you're buying. Having a tracking number that shows that "something" (=empty envelope) was delivered to me was enough for them to close the case.

Now, i don't have the $61.55 i paid for the item and i don't have the item. All i have is an empty little envelope with a delivery confirmation number on it.

    Buyers beware!!!!

This is for you all to see the kind of person matthew camaratta is: Low, dishonest, a smart-ass piece of s*h*i*t.

He ripped me off and he won't miss a chance to do the same to you.

wow, that sucks. i have dealt w/ matt b4 on plenty of sales and purchases. i never had that sort of problem. he even sent me extra figs and being the honest person i am, mailed them back to him. your situation doesnt sound like the matt i dealt w/ b4. he has been in business for a long time and i cant imagine. is there more to the story?

side note, i am currently waiting on an expensive box that was mailed out to me w/o a tracking # and sent parcel (from a very trustworthy trading buddy). its been 2 weeks. now the delay could be USPS w/ the snow storms and bad weather up north, or it couldve been put on the wrong transit truck. mistakes do happen. im still worried and would like to see my expensive trade items get to me, but it would not be fair of me to destroy my friends rep b/c of a mail f'up. matt was a pretty easy guy to deal w/ and like i said i never had a problem w/ him. thats my 2 cents. zedzdead

/\/\/\Same here, I bought from Matt tons of times, but hey sometimes people make mistakes. Not that I'm denying your story, but someone here sent me Ratchet's waist in July and because of a mail screw up it didn't arrive until October.

The buyer here is reasonably upset, but the bottom line is he/she did not opt for insurance. If you don't have insurance on your house and it burns down, will Allstate pay to replace it?
Transformerland is a reputable company, been in business for well over a decade, has an uncountable number of positive reviews, and has unsolicited mentions in such publications as Mens Health magazine, for example:

    Men's Health - June 2009

If you are reading this, keep googleing, this is basically the only bad review I know of...and keep in mind how difficult it is to please every last person when you deal with 100s of people a week for over a decade!

Actually that analogy does not apply here. This is a huge misconception that has been perpetuated by sellers on places like Ebay putting in the following disclaimers on their item listings: "If you do not purchase insurance, I am not responsible for your package". That is a false statement.

In online commerce, it is the responsibility of the seller/retailer to ensure the product arrives to the buyer in the condition as described. Insurance is the the responsibility of the seller, NOT the buyer, which is why Ebay has removed the option for sellers to charge buyers insurance on the payment invoices. It doesn't matter if you buy from Ebay or Walmart.com, if your item does not arrive, or arrives damaged, you as the buyer will always win in a dispute with your credit card company. This is why many companies only ship with a service like Fedex or UPS where they can get actual tracking numbers (as opposed to delivery confirmation from USPS...Oops for got to scan when I dropped it off on your porch), and you have to sign for the packages, so they have absolute proof of delivery.

Many sellers build this cost into the "handling fee", and others self insure.

Even though the OP said Paypal found in the sellers favor, he could still have appealed the situation. I had a similar situation where a seller sent me a small envelope with a tracking number on it instead of the G1 Slag it was supposed to be. When I told Paypal there was no way a toy action figure would fit into the 1 ounce envelope, and provided them with some more info and documentation, they reversed the decision, and I received my money back.

The OP also has other recourse by filing a fraud report with the police, or taking the seller to court. Neither are ideal, but they are options.

If this is a feedback thread then I would like to add mine, not trying to discredit the OP but my experience was very different. .

I bought a POWER MASTER PRIME trailer from there website and everything went without a problem. I paid through paypal and the item came quick and boxed great. Good transaction. Thxs

I bought from them twice. First time, I bought a Punch/Counterpunch described as C9 Excellent. It had a big ass deep scratch on one side and Excellent Cyclonus, it was C7-C8 at best (rusty screws, loose parts and worn stickers). Second time, I bought a "part" and he sent me the wrong one. BIG FAIL, I'm going to avoid this website from now on. I don't care if he's the last person on earth that has a part I need. He should change his name to Wheeljackslab Jr.

Bought from Transformersland at least two dozen times, and everything has gone smoothly over the years. I can't help but wonder if there is more to the OP's story, because I cannot simply believe it just like that.

Just adding my name to the list of great dealings with Matt.

Case in point: I purchased a Huffer with a broken arm to fix my broken Huffer. A "mirror image" figure was accidentally sent (i.e. I needed a right arm and the shipped fig only had the left). Matt promptly took care of it. If he dealt honestly with a two dollar item from a guy who really doesn't buy all that much I believe that is his modus operandi.

I hope the OPs issue gets resolved to both parties' satisfaction.

Went the other way, sold to Transformerland :D . Matt was great to deal with and willing to haggle a bit on the price. Definitely a great guy to work with!

So apparently I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience.
I sold him most of my collection back in September 2013. Complete lines from Beast Wars to ROTF (including side lines and filler lines), bagged and with no missing pieces, in great condition - they were display figures. He offered me a very low price, but I sold anyway because I needed the rent and bill money. I shipped with tracking numbers and priority shipping (had to pay the shipping costs as well). I checked and triple checked on a checklist each figure that was packaged and sent, with completion and condition, so I know every figure was in those packages.

He only paid me 80% of the price he gave me, and he claimed he didn't get half the figures I sent him. But being the "nice, reputable" guy that he is, he offered to forgive the missing figures if I sent him another box of figures, for free, and pay the shipping cost on those as well. I told him we should just do a return, and he agreed, but he refused to send the figures back unless he got his money first, plus he wanted me to pay for shipping BACK to my house. Returns don't work that way - you go to Walmart, you return your item and THEN you get your money back. But I digress...

This was my hard earned collection, and something I held very dear to my heart - and I felt and still very much feel swindled and cheated. I will never work with this site again.
