Hi all. Hope it's ok to post this here. I've been offered some Transformer erasers by a coworker and neither of us has any idea how much they are worth. As I want them as a surprise for my husband (the only expert I know) I can't ask him. I checked ebay, but there's not much there to help. Any suggestions? My main concern is that I don't want to cheat my coworker... But then I don't want my husband to say I spent too much either!

wrong forum I think. Probably should go under "toy discussion". I'm sure there are all kinds of transformers erasers so pics would help. I can't imagine them being worth that much though.

Eraser is kinda vague since that was certainly various styles in the 80's
As the other post says you should post a new thread in " toy discussion" forum and put erasers in the title but you really gonna need a picture

    Pictures would really help.

Then again, it's just erasers. 1$ each. I doubt that your friend is a collector since he or she doesn't know how much to charge for it. A dollar or lower since your co-worker wouldn't be losing much.

Yeah even if they are the old erasers with the box art on them they aren't really worth anything. $5-10 tops for the vintage ones in package, $1 each loose.

Unfortunately for your coworker (but fortunately for you), most of the merchandising tie-ins (and boy howdy were there a lot) are not worth nearly as much as the actual Transformers toys, mainly because there's substantially less demand for them. You'll find people (like yourself) who are interested in the pencils, slippers, birthday candles, bikes, and dinner plates from Transformers from time to time, but usually not enough to justify a high cost.

A couple bucks is probably very fair, depending on condition.

I used to collect erasers, pencils, and just about anything with transformers on it. $2 per eraser, double if unopened is fair market price, especially since you're friends with the seller.
