Any TF myths that you have come across? One of the ones I just found is that Animated Shockwave's faction symbol will NOT chafe when he runs across a floor.

Anything else you guys found to be false?

It is a myth that the toy-buying addiction can be easily kicked.

That WalMart ever actually carried their supposed exclusives alt. Rumble and Ravage. Also that takara uses magic paint that enchants toy fans to like the paint more.

Animated Wreckgar was on the shelves of Target, Walmart, and TRU in Pennsylvania.

20th Anniversary Prime is not made of 100% plastic with no die cast. Neither is 20th Anniversary DVD Prime, despite the fact that some people insist on believing so.

The ones I've commonly seen are "The 20th Anniversary (Masterpiece) Prime is the toy I had in my childhood" or "The guys from the '86 Movie are Generation Two."

    This.

The only reason a lot of Walmarts didn't get them, or only got a case or two was because Alternators did not sell well in the first place.

Original G1 toys had a greater amount of die cast content then the reissues.

I hear that one all the time.

I'm glad you guys could find them- I was just trying to exaggerate how WalMart usually understocks their exclusives. I never saw these Alts, along with a lot of other people. Heck, I only wanted Ravage, but it always bothers me when I NEVER see a toy at retail (that's meant to be at retail) and not having even the option of purchasing it.

What I hear a lot is that the original G1 toys were 100% die cast metal.

Original G1 toys were more durable than today's Transformers.

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are the same mold.

There was a figure of Spike before 1987.

According to somebody i came across in a toy aisle last year, they were also much bigger... and Armada Unicron is an inferior reissue of the original Unicron from the movie line.
