To the best of my knowledge, the only Transformer husband/wife couples are Deathsaurus and Esmeral (Giga and Mega might not count as they're half-human half-TF).

But beyond them, I don't see any other legally bonded couples. I wouldn't know whether there should be any more; but I would like to see some sort of Transformers wedding sometime in the future. Would anyone else like the same?

Animated Lugnut and Strika too-though the whole concept to me is just... weird.

Why do you find marriage weird? Isn't it two individuals (people, Transformers, or even one of each) being bonded together by a sacred rite?

Downshift in the Unicron Trilogy was mentioned as having a lifebond partner.

Cases could be made for Wreck-Gar & Nancy (G1) and Strika & Obsidian (BM).

There is currently no canon information about the legal/social implications of long-term committed cybertronian relationships, nor on the rites to recognize them / make them official.

Yeah... couples have slipped into Transformers in the past, but only in the rarest cases has it every been an "technical" (as in, recognized by some cultural rite) union. Nobody has ever officially taken up that question.

Though it MAY come up in IDW comics sometime in the future... but maybe those characters will just stay on the down-low instead. :)

I now pronounce you HusBandwidth and Wi-Fi. You may interface the Brand.

Not entirely sure what an actual marriage would provide for TF. I mean robot sexy times is a hot enough topic as it is and we have had TF spark-bonded in the past. Are we talking marriage between fembots and non-fembots or just between two regular bots that want to officially display a closer commitment to each other? Are there even enough fembots kicking about for there to need to be a marriage law?
Are we talking about Chromedome and Rewind?

    Oh good grief. No marriages.

First Roberts tries to make TF a sitcom; now we have fans wanting it to be a soap!

I would give my right arm to see a TF wearing a veil. Especially Starscream.

    Haha! Good point. :D

What? What do you mean? What about Chromedome and Rewind? Those guys are just good friends. Their dynamic isn't like a married couple at all. *cough*

Yeah, I didn't mean we'd actually see a "marriage" of sorts... but that at some point, someone might mention (in one of those magical off-hand world-building ways that Roberts has) that those two are identified as a bonded pair, socially speaking... and that culturally that might not be uncommon.

You're right! Transformers is a half-hour consequenceless-violence-filled toy commercial, dammit! And that's how it should STAY!! :D

The latter. Transformers can't sexually reproduce, as has been confirmed by most of the fandom and even officially (thanks given to the Allspark), so we're talking a definite platonic emotional bond.

    Ebay:
Which means one doesn't "need" to be a so-called fembot, since that "identity" is really just arbitrary anyway.

Not that one would need to be anyway, if that wasn't the case. Don't want to be labeled a homophobe, but you know what I mean. :)

Isn't this really the only one that actually makes some sort of sense? I mean, the BW characters were very much animals as well, right? It was more than just a disguise for them, as it turned out. So, well, you know... kind of makes sense in this case.

what if they don't have marriage rites to begin with. What if they choose mates. Whose to say every intelligent race has to be bound by having a wedding. The married couples we have seen are probablly only married in our sense of the word to fit in with earth

I find anything that's overly human behavior translated to Cybertronians wierd. In the Gender/Sexuality thread, I give a great Klingon example.
