Transformer toy designer Alexander Kubalsky has created a profile on DeviantArt. There are some concept sketches and photos of Transformers related work up. Some interesting behind the scenes drawings. alexanderkubalsky on deviantART
Fantastic stuff. I take it some of these are collages for in-house presentations? I'm particularly impressed by the detail in the drawings on the engineering paper.
are you he? i hope you are so i can tell him personally how ludicrously awesome those are. maybe i can send a telepathic kowtow or something ;_;
awesome to see some of my favorite figures, classics mirage and hound + animated rodimus and the real gear controller, are designed by the same guy thanks for the link!
Without second thought I added him to my deviantArt watch list. He made the concepts for what are some kick-ass toys.
There was an article a while back interviewing him about Classics Mirage and Bumblebee. I've know about this guy for a long time. He's awesome. He also designed TFA Prowl.
I've been messing with Hound Lately and I've reached the conclusion that there's something not quite right about the way his torso is supposed to work it's all a bit vague.
God but I wish he was still working on Transformers. I wish him nothing but success in all his future endeavors, don't get me wrong, but man, his departure is such a loss to Transformers design: He's truly in a class by himself.
I would say he will come back to Takara or hasbro one day, if you notice other toy designs he showed transform. he has it in his blood , no matter what he does there is tht instinct to make a transforming toy : D
I really like this. That Hound is actually cooler than the one we got, and the oen we got is badass. Love the Animated BB one. God I love that toy for that Transformation alone.
