I was just taking a look at the toy galler on this page and found these Classic Transformers. They all look like Generation 1 transformers with a slightly different look about them.

Like Starscream for example, instead of his usual F-15 transformation he's a Mig-29 Fulcrum, and Prime has the doors on his arms, looking sorta like a buckler or a shield. These toys look really cool, but are they suppose to be like slightly different versions of the G1 toys?

Whats the story behind this toy line?

Sorry, Ive been posting a lotta questions lately :)

Classics Starscream is an F-15, not a Mig-29. Look at the intakes beside the cockpit.

The Classics line is re-imaging of G1 figures w/ modern technology.

Who shot who in the what now? Starscream is still an F-15. His canopy is a bit F-14-ish, but otherwise he's still an F-15. Cybertron Thundercracker was the Russian jet.

These are meant to be updates of G1 fgures, with modern toy technology, that's why they looklike their G1 counterparts.

They're simply a filler line between Cybertron and the Movie toys, but because Hasbro love us for throwing money at them these toys are pretty much all awesome.

If the movie toys are as good as these then I'll be happy in Summer. Actually there may be many reason for me to be happy in Summer, but this will just be another thing.

The story behind them are that they are a line filler between the end of Cybertron, and the beginning of the movie toys.

Oh I see where Starscream is an F-15 still. My bad, I only took a quick look and the wing shape made it look like Mig-29, still the F-15's body though.
