Not too long ago, I got to the point where I had to toss all of the cardboard boxes that I had been saving from my larger cybertron/energon/classic/animated/movie toys. In a way I felt relieved to get all of that space back, but in another way I feel like I'll want them again someday. Do you guys keep boxes or toss them?

I do my best to flatten them. It can get difficult like with the Human Alliance "packaging" but then I do my best to save the important parts. Like you I know if I toss them I will regret it.

I keep anything imported , and if i ever get any G1 boxes I would keep those.
I keep the card backs as well.

I do not normally flatten them but i am considering starting it.

Yeah, I still have my card backs and instructions, mainly b/c they take up next to no room.

That reminds me... i have a few boxes to put up in my sale thread (free with 15$ purchase or make offer).

I really dont save that many boxes... just ones that people may want.

I save a few but not that many. They just take up too much space.

If they all came in Alternity style boxes, I would keep all of them for easy storage. I throw them all away other than the Japanese imports.

i cut up most any boxes and save all the artwork and pictures. i have saved ALL of my G1 reissue boxes to store them when they are not on display.

my classics just get the baggy and rubber-maid treatment.

I've thrown out tons of boxes over the years. But now I gut them, throw out the insides and flatten them for storage. They take up a fraction of the space this way.

Previously, I've kept boxes for all Takara exclusives, MPs, reissues, some third party stuff, pre FP-Botcon and TFCC, and the occasional random one that caught my eye. It's now getting to the point where I think I'll stick most of those in the recycler and keep only a small handful (the really rare exclusives, TFCC, and MPs so it'll be easier to transport them when moving). They just take up too much damn space as it is right now.

Used to cut them up and keep the cool parts (character artwork, tech specs, etc). Then I went onto tossing the inner parts and flattening the outer box and keeping that. Now I keep every part of the box and rebox most of my figures after they've done their time out on display.

As a kid during G1 I cut out the tech specs and saved everything that was inside the box, but the box itself went in the trash. I think I saved a couple of card backs from some Micromaster sets, but that was it. When I got back into collecting during Beast Wars I started saving everything, and I've still got it all (except for stuff I've sold). Looking at the boxes is part of the nostalgia for me, it takes me back to when I saw the figure on the shelf for the first time.
