I'd say lubricants of some type. I thought energon was depicted as being bluish in color. Plus it makes a better visceral impact for red liquid to be ejected from the mouth region.

It's energon. It is what powers the transfomers. Kind of like our blood but not quite.

They would have to have lubricants and even coolants and maybe even shock-absorptive pockets of softer tissue (with liquids) inside them to even be able to move without massive friction sending sparks everywhere and heating them up too much, so it's probably a combination of those things or just one.

Sentinel Prime also bleeds it but you have to look closely, after Optimus shoots him in the head and when we got a close-up to his face.

Well, thanks to the brilliant think-tank that put these movies together, we found out that Transformers are "hatched" and apparently "grow" into their big boy robo pants, can "breath", "spit", "pee" and "fart", so they might as well "bleed" too. Going at this rate, christ help us what other waste & fluids shoot out of their bodies by a 4th movie if it gets made.

It's either Energon, or something eLse.
If it is Energon, I wished they would have changed the color, maybe something similar to what came out from the Fallen.

I hope TF4 introduces Energon Cubes.

Let's hope Seth McFarlane isn't involved in some way. He has a knack for making his characters puke frequently.

^ Who could forget this? Or the ipecac skit. :puke2:

Red is power steering fluid, isn't it? Or is it transmission fluid?

From what I gather most ground vehicle bots have their head come out of where the engine would be, so take it from that.

Though that doesn't explain why Ironhide's was green.
