At the detroit auto show recently, mini unveiled their concept car:

The Beachcomber!!!! Holy fecal matter batman!

Now all it needs is a nice blue paintjob!

As much as I'd like one of those, I don't think it'd be practical in Massachusetts. :lol

Oh I love tiny little cars!

Tough to say what sort of car deals are worked out for the third movie though. If not for Transformers 3 then they will need new deals for whatever might come next with the movies and I'd love to see a Mini or other small cars get worked into the films.

    It's.... okay.

I would honestly rather see Wheeljack as the Aero-X before I'd want to see this as Beachcomber. This is cool in itself, don't get me wrong... it's just there are much more cooler options out there for TF3.

Those Mini Coopers scare me... I hate to be behind the wheel of that thing and get involved in an accident involving a semi-truck.

I'll stick with mid-sized cars on up to pickup trucks, thanks.

I really don't think it'll be in the next movie, and that the name has little to do with the actual character of Beachcomber.

Besides, it's a Mini. And as far as I know, BMW has kept to the same stance regarding Transformers that Volkswagen has.

That's the difference between passive defense and aggressive defense. The point of a smaller, more agile car is that you're more likely to avoid the accident altogether.

You can't move for crap in larger cars/suvs/trucks.

If you ask me, I'd rather avoid the accident and spin out than have impact forces put upon my body.

Actually the small cars are like roll cages. Your big car or SUV has crumble zones which do take some of the impact but the large body might look safer and even feel safer to the driver the fact is they are no safer

Yeah, well... I don't feel at all secure in those small cars. The larger the vehicle, the more secure I feel.

I guess this would be cool. It makes sense from a marketing perspective, if they are referring to the robot that turns into this car with the actual name it is sold under. Since BB is a muscle car, IH and ratchet aren't twins, Optimus isn't cab-over and Sideswipe stole Tracks' alt mode and isn't the right color, I'm not that picky any more about the alt modes. I just wonder if he would be Surprisingly Well Armed. With Bay in charge, my guess is yeah.
