Picked up something rather interesting in HMV today... TF protective case for Nintendo DS! In-package shots: Currently retailing for £19.99, there's a two for £30 offer on, but they didn't have the corresponding Autobot set in stock at the moment. For your money there's a lot of goodies! Three DS card cases with embossed Decepticon insignia: Wrist strap with a small screen wiper on the end: Outer casing, made from polycarbonite The DS can be opened and played in the case, which has openings for both slots, volume, L&R, stylus slot etc: It comes with a set of front & rear card inserts using Dreamwave-originated artwork: The front insert features a character's robot mode, while the rear has the alt mode. The characters depicted are: Megatron Soundwave Scorponok Starscream Skywarp Shockwave Brawl Razorclaw Bonecrusher Barricade Frenzy (well, the blue tape ) There was also a random Seacon insert (bot mode only). They didn't have the Autobot version in stock at my local HMV, but I'll keep checking for it! Happy hunting, DS Lite owners.
Wish I found that version, especially with those 'Con DS cases. I ended up with the much less stunning set of Movie Barricade decals.
I got this quite awhile ago at Toys r us. They still have them, a lot more bot than con. It is wicked cool, congratulations on your find My DS is always pimped out as Shockwave!
£19.99? What a rip-off! Still, it is mighty tempting. Luckily I'm broke right now or I'd be there tomorrow morning, cash in hand.
They have these for the PSP also, and I might get an Autobot set for my DS. While, Frenzy (my PSP) is definetly getting a Decepticon set =3
They're kinda cool, but I'm just so sick of that artwork. Anything that is g1 related but not retro uses those exact same images. T shirts xbox faceplates ds cover xbox live theme statues etc etc etc. Isn't there another drawing of megatron that can be used?

The only company before Dreamwave was Marvel, and their really outdated art. What they could be doing, is commission an artist like Don or anyone to draw them up new art; however, that would come at a cost and delay the product. It's far easier to take pre-existing art, that is easy to access and reuse it for your product; thus ensuring your product gets to market on time and at the cost you expect. I know it's business, as well as marvel's art being drastically outdated, but it's just frustrating to see the same picture used on so many tf products, especially if you just wanted to buy a bunch of stuff for one character(like myself and wanting to buy megatron stuff), and having it all end up with the same picture on it.
