Here is my newest concept. I used the target exclusive clear yellow Bumblebee and turned it into a transcanning version. Let me know what you guys think (now on EBAY ) 100_9174 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9176 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9178 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9179 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9180 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9182 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9186 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9185 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9187 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr 100_9192 by Rodimeister0088, on Flickr
Yes, but does it have a mid-scan with cybertronian symbols? or battle wear on the paint apps? or a midscan head, legs , arms, thorax? Thanks for pointing it out. That is the concept i based this custom on.
Thank you i will keep it in mind on my next midscan Bumblebee attempt and if you can, please be more specific next time. Saying "it looks sloppy" is not very informative, but i will try to do a cleaner job however i can. Thanks
I think without him sounding even more rude by going on and on, he elaborated plenty just saying it looks sloppy. Specifically though (in my opinion), the paint looks streaky in places, edges are rough, and the blue paint looks like blue paint smears. With that however, it should also be said that the idea and attempt isn't bad. I know how good clean pics can make flaws more apparent than in person sometimes. The inner robotics and some of the smaller yellow apps are nice.
I think he was being sarcastic to the other guy who said that TRU already made the trans-scanning series, not to you.
Nice idea work overall, but I would've dropped the symbols, as they don't work for me & kept the white color on the scanning line, maybe adding some "cybertronian static" to liven up the transition? For the record, I'm not really sure how this would look, since we never saw the change on-camera - but I'd suggest maybe using a virtual wire-frame of the car & painting the static lines on that... But I have yet to post a repaint so my opinion is barely valid...
ideas are how these customs are born, your opinion is just as valid as anyone elses on these boards cybertronian static? do you mean square patterns on the blue markings? and i dont have a clue as to what a virtual wire frame is, if you could tell me a bit about it i may be able to use this suggestion on my next BB. I will try it without the symbols as you have said.
From Wikipedia: A wire frame model is a visual presentation of a three dimensional or physical object used in 3D computer graphics. The term wireframe comes from designers using metal wire to represent the 3 dimensional shape of solid objects. Example - the blue lines on this render: Would be considered the "wireframe" model...
I would make the "scanning' line more vivid and sharp. It looks... well, it looks kinda sloppy. I would also get rid of the yellow symbols.
ah ok, i thought maybe thats what you reffered to. Thnx i will look into it. the scanning line is sloppy? do you mean the blue fade?
If I understand him - he's referring yo the forward-facing edge, where that line should be cleaner. If I am correct in understanding him, you could fix that by using a mask from either cardboard - which would create an organic line, or a piece of plastic.
