5 Great Movies to Watch While You Work Out

Transformers 86 Movie made the Weight Watchers list on eTools for men on "Movies to work out to"

    5. Transformers: The Movie (1986): The cartoon movie—not the recent live-action flick—not only brings back a touch of nostalgia, but who doesn’t want to run that much harder when the opening chords of “The Touch" come on?

    1. Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog: Superheroes, bad guys, cheeky humor and some stellar music to work out to. The entire movie is just 43 minutes, but the three-act film is fun enough to distract you from the four miles of hills you have left on the treadmill.
    2. The Ten: This blink-and-you'll-miss-it comedy was pretty much made for our movie-watching strategy. Ten comic vignettes based on the Ten Commandments, all tied very loosely together.
    3. The Star Wars Trilogy: Every guy already knows all the plot twists and can probably recite the lines to the entire trilogy. But watching it while exercising adds another psychological element to your workout: It forces you to stop it in the middle on the first day will most likely make you want to actually come back the next to watch the rest.
    4. A Day at the Races: Black and white movies always seem dated … and people recommending them always seem pretentious. But this Marx Brothers classic is probably one of the most modern comedies from that era, and the plot is loose enough—a down-on-his-luck veterinarian poses as a general practitioner for humans—that when you pick it up on day two, you’ll jump right back into the jokes without missing a beat.
    5. Transformers: The Movie (1986): The cartoon movie—not the recent live-action flick—not only brings back a touch of nostalgia, but who doesn’t want to run that much harder when the opening chords of “The Touch" come on?

Most of my workouts last longer than the movie's running time. I need a five-part series. Not "Five Faces of Darkness" though. Ugh.

I lost 3kg during the Touch, but I also took some depression food when Optimus died, so I gained 5kg. THANKS ALOT!

I hate this mentality. Old movies are not for everyone, but just because someone appreciates them doesn't make them pretentious. Of course the opposite mentality is also frustrating. It's old so it's a classic and worth watching and that too is not even close to being true.

Movie's worth watching are ones that are entertaining, enlightening or educate. If it fits into one of these 3 categories than it's worth watching and no one should have to appologize for enjoying it.

Gee, didn't mean this post to offend anybody, but I think the article was mostly tongue n' cheek anyway. Cheers
