I've never owned an iPod so I wouldn't know. I recently had the trailer uploaded to my cell phone. It's not the best quality, but it's good enough to show it to people at work, considering they can't see quicktime files there.

There is a free ipod video converter here, http://xilisoft-ipod-video-converter.en.softonic.com/

I would recommend WinAvi, as it is the best, but you need to pay [for it]. And I would explain how to put it into your ipod, but then again the help resources are good enough, ja?

I have that program. What format does the iPod use? maybe I could convert it for you.

Here's the "official" way for iPods, using iTunes (the quality stays great and the file size is chopped in half!)

    1. Download the trailer
    2. Open iTunes (comes with your iPod)
    3. Click on the tab, on the left of iTunes called "Library" -> "Movies"
    4. iTunes should now show a window with a black background
    [IMG]
    5. Drag and Drop the trailer video file into that black space
    4. Right click on the TF video icon and select: "convert selection for iPod"
    5. Once it's done converting, you should see the newly converted trailer video as a .m4v file, somewhere on your desktop, or right next to the old icon you've clicked on.
    6. Place this new file into your iPod's movie catagory and that should be it!

    Hope that helps!

Ha, I think you missed the point. The OP is obviously new at this, and this program is like for those who want the best out of their conversions, and the only way to do that is to configure a whole bunch of crap (remember, I said if you want to fully utilize it).

My recommendation is for simplicity, I would have suggested Jodix but it does not say .mov is supported.

Trust me, I know. Been encoding for several years now and I've used every possible converter out there. So far in my experience: Winavi pummels everyone hands down. Not only is it sickly fast, imagine adding subtitles to your video?

I also have used the default iTunes way, but it didn't convert to a size saving way. Life is hard, isn't it? :redface2:

This is probably a stupid question but is there any way to download the Transformers movie trailer if you DON'T have Quicktime Pro?

Everytime I try to download the trailer it sends me to the site to buy Quicktime Pro.

I'd rather not have to do this.

    Maybe I'm just being cheap??!!??

you can get it off of youtube...wait, i mean you CANT...lol.......it's not legal to do that......

all you have to do is: once the video is fully loaded, copy all the text in the "embed" box. paste it into notepad and find the URL. paste that URL into a new Firefox window (or I.E. if you're a homo). near the beginning of the new URL you'll see in the address box are the letters "p.swf" . delete and replace these with this: "get_video". the video will automatically download to your desktop.

    OMWTFZORBBQ!!!! who said that?

big negative on that one. you can store anything you like on iPod memory, but nanos can't view videos.
