    Transformers Room Construction
If you want to see the room construction I’ve hidden it behind the spoiler tag.
Back in 2017 I had to pack up my collection as the real estate agent didn't want to show the house off with the collection on display so I sold off some of the collection and packed up the rest. Here are a few photos of that old setup back in 2016/17.

Fast forward to December of 2017 we moved into our new house and the collection was temporarily put into this unfinished room in the basement.

In 2018 wife and I had discussions on what I would do with the collection, and where it would go I knew I didn't want to use the old cases as they were damaged in the move. We decided that the room the collection was currently stored in could be used as a display room once the funds were in place.

Then 2019 the money was available so I measured the room and came up with this concept design.

    TF Shelving.png
Finally here we are August / September 2019 I've cleaned out the room, removed the collection, peg boards, work table, chest freezer and some wall dry wall. Currently running wiring in the walls for LED lighting for the shelving, wiring up the ceiling for (4) sets of track lighting. Just finished installing the heating/AC duct work. Going to do a trial run this weekend of my LED wiring as that is going to be controlled by a dimmer light switch on the wall.

Here is where I'm currently at here towards the end of September, I've got all the drywall up and the ceiling drywall installed. Hoping this weekend to get all the drywall joint compound put up so I can start painting in October. If that all goes as planned maybe get the carpet installed in October too, then the most important part the shelving installation.

Here is a video of me doing a final test run of the LED lights controller by a dimmer switch on the wall.

Status Report for the end of October, room painted, lights and carpet installed.

Now for the most import and longest task of the project, building the shelves and table.

Here is the first shelf built there are two this size the other two will need to be built in the room as they will be to big to fit through the door.

    Shelf #1.jpeg

January update I have all cabinets in and the LED lights installed in them also my lightsaber case hanging now. Up next is ordering the glass for the shelves and making the doors for the bottom part of the cabinets. Then on to the table that will hold the 8 IKEA Detolf’s.

These are the 7’+ shelves they are about 15’ in total length made the shelves 32” apart so I can fit Metroplex and any MP combiners for the future.

Since the glass is now ordered I need to get all the tracks installed so I spent some of my weekend getting these cut and glued in. Probably spend the rest of this week finishing that up.

Table for the IKEA Detolfs is built, still need to glue the tracks for the door on it but I should be able to knock that out this weekend. Also going to finish putting the baseboard in this weekend and I should be ready for the glass next week.

Also during this week as you can see I started pulling out my art, to start laying it out on my art wall here. I’ve got my order in to @Tony_Bacala for that awesome Soundwave / Blaster art I want to make sure I leave a spot for some @Superquad7 commissioned art. The rest will be Pat Lee and Dan the Art Guy stuff.

The glass was installed on Friday and I’ve put up all my IKEA Deltolfs on the table and I’ve started to put the art on the wall.

Still have the bottom doors to make for all the shelves, not in a hurry as the emblem handles are coming from China and I won’t see them for a while still.

I got the badges in finally for the glass so I can finally get a good grip on the glass to slide it.

    Palisades Statue Collection

My Palisades collection is about half Artist Proof editions, I really wanted to show this off but the label and the number are on the bottom of the statues. So I decided to make a card to display the number and if it is an Artist Proof or the standard Limited Edition release. First thing was to design a card, then get a stand for them about half way through this process I thought I wanted the cards to show a difference between the AP and LE too. Here is a sheet of the cards I made.
    683B7C58-809E-444F-A932-61EE0C9BF6E7.jpeg

I decided I would put some foil on the cards to help them stand out here are some before and after shots.

    With the silver foil.

And finally GOLD foil for those AP statues.

These statues came with a COA cards but they were to large to display with the bust so I decided to just display the busts.

    Transformers Generation 1
For my 3 Transformers line I collect I decided to make signs for each line, first I tried to get someone to print them in 3D like the TMNT logo. However after getting turned down by 5 different vendors I decided I would just draw the art and send it to Vista Print to print these out on vinyl so I could put these on a piece of acrylic.

I love how uncluttered the shelves are. Great job there man. It's also pretty cool how you keep all the accessories on display as well.

Personally, though, I think the MP01 Magnus would look cool on same shelf as the New MP Magnus that was just released.

Waiting on the coin and a 2nd MP-22 so that shelf space is already spoken for but I like what your thinking.

    I know I'd love a white MP-10 to put with MP-2.

Very nice clean collection. 2 of each for most of your collection is impressive. I love looking at other collectors displays to pick ideas that I can use to improve on mine. You collection has been one of the few that I've drawn inspiration from for my display. Keep them coming.

By the way, where did you get some of the cards from? I have not seen some of the cards you have on display before. Especially the cassette ones. Did you design them yourself?

    Thanks for sharing.

Any chance you will be making those cards available for download on your Masterpiece Cards & Coins thread? I would love to have those if possible.
