Final UPDATE: Post #40 UPDATE: Post #32 UPDATE: Post #26 UPDATE: Post #9 thought it was about time to bring Trailbreaker out of the darkness. this has been one of those 5 minutes at a time projects. an in between project while epoxy dries. or an in betweener as I like to call it. anyway did a lot of epoxy work on cyclonus last night and decided to crank some stuff out on trailbreaker. here's the original kit with his donor bot. - below managed to keep ratchet's fake seats and added a steering wheel. didn't like ratchet's legs. so I went with an old excellion figure I poorly attempted to paint into red alert early on in my kitbashing days. they needed alot of work to fit, as you can see here. I'll have to add some extension panels. and some bot mode shots thanks for looking guys
I'm loving the way this looks, it looks like the character model from the show which is always the way I pictured Trailbreaker in my head and it has a great looking alt mode too, it's like a mini masterpiece so far. I can't wait to see this done. top job
Thanks for the comments guys. welp, been slowly chipping away on this guy too in between dry times. his hand canon is just a place holder buy I might use it with a little modification. the gun/missile thing on his back is just resting there too. just grabbed something to throw in there to photograph. thanks for checkin' him out.
Lovely. I just cant get over how you do what you do with these little reshells man. Question: Whats the plan for the lower part (in truck mode) under the bed sides (the red that's showing) you gonna make some slick looking panels for that? or will you just smooth it out?
I can't describe how cool this is... This should be a future casting project for you WJ, because we will never see a "Takara/Habro" version that personifies Trailbreaker to the degree that you have achieved here. How do you improve on greatness???...add a few drops of WHEELJACK to you life!
Whoa! You've brought-together so many bits from varied lines into such a seamless piece. & then I remember that you've crammed all this awesomesauce into a deluxe-sized figure. Great work Mate!
Pure love. With both yours and spoonman's trailbreaker coming to completion, it's gonna be a Trailbreaker month!
