I was wondering if some places in Japan buy stateside Transformers. I go there once a month and was thinking I could trade some of the US releases for Japanese or even sell them. I know they market certain USA version Transformers over there.

isn't it funny how everyone wants what they can't have?

JDM is big here, USDM is big over there

It's just hard for me to carry stuff back and forth as I only use carryons when I travel.

I almost knew that this thread would turn into a "Can you get me this...."

I'd love to but I don't have much room to carry stuff. I have to limit myself everytime I go there. LLast time I was only able to get Megalo convoy and Soundwave.

But seriously, does anyone know if this is possible??

It is definitely possible. You just have to find the right contacts.

For example at Cybercon4, a pair of Japanese dealers bought all of my reissue Dirges, as he was a rare exclusive in Japan.

That's the problem. I don't really know where to look. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a shop that takes trades or buys, much like comic shops here sometimes do.

my ? is do you speak jap...
and best bet is to go to ebay jap. or just ebay
and message jap dealers and collectors
    and form some contacts
do we have any members from jap?
i say your best bet is save your money,
i would even invest a hundred or so with you,
go over there an bring us back all you can....

    my 2 cents

I understand enough Japanese to get around. I usually spend one week every month in Japan unless I go to Europe. But the last 3 or 4 months I have been in Japan.
