3-D Printed TR Skullsmasher Leg Mod (Ongoing)

Only titled "ongoing" because I plan to continue working on this model until I have a piece that is durable and works flawlessly. This is just something I whipped up in an hour after reading about a lot of the complaints people were having about Titan Returns Skullsmasher and his legs.

So with a very simple hinge (that I'm honestly surprised HasTak didn't just insert) Skullsmasher's hind leg can swing around and fill out that cavity in his leg. This upgrade also gives him a heel, so he won't continuously fall over!

    Alright, here is V1!

Thank you for taking a look!

Neat. Is there a way to position the hind leg to act as a heel? Lack of heels is probably my biggest problem with Skullcruncher.

Awesome. This was the first thing I thought. The hind legs are a separate piece, so why didn't Hasbro make it a swivel?

Mine stands quite well, no falling back... Given he does look like he needs a pair of heels..

My Takara Legends Galavatron, he is always falling backwards..
His feet are so damned loose.. Since it's on a pin swivel I don't know what I can do to tighten the joint..

My Skullsmasher/Skullcruncher holds up fairly well..

I get the feeling the swivel was in early designs, and then some higher up told them to scrap it.

Mostly because... yeah, the leg does look like it should swivel around to the back.

Just thought of this earlier, glad to see you've made it a reality. Will this be for sale on Shapeways or somewhere like that?

Has there been any updates on this? If you're planning on putting this piece on shapeways I'd buy two sets in a heartbeat

I'm pretty sure that this can be done with a couple different Lego/MegaBloks pieces (preferably using the detented hinges, which allow for some posing options in gator mode depending on how you install them).

That's quite excellent! I'd like to see a diagram or an deconstructed view.

Also good. I usually like to make my own mod parts, but I might just grab one of those on my next SW order. :)

While they don't provide support to help him stand up better as I suspected they did previously, they do clean up the silhouette quite nicely.
