This isn't the first time someone's deheadmastered this mold, but my process is a little different.

For starters, you'll need to cut the tab off of the Murk's heel:

    Otherwise, he stays intact.

It's a pretty simple task to gouge out the central panels of the neck assembly and sand it down make way for the neck port to collapse in:

The problem is that the top is open ended, so something has to be bashed in to keep the head from launching into Accessory Hell whenever it's extended. My solution was to score and cut the base of the purple neck pylons in half and glue them into the extended position:

I also made some notches around the neck assembly for clearance:

and shaved down this lip so it doesn't catch:

Now Octone gets a cool spring-loaded head gimmick, and Murk gets to keep his legs!

Cool! Nice work with the spring-loaded head gimmick.

isntead of cutting the titan master's heel tab why not instead make a rail? here, given how back heavy the titan masters are

Then that can be your innovation! Murk still stands just fine, but I like the blockier head and the less gappy chest... plus those notches were an eleventh hour clearance fix, so I'd already cut the heel off by that point

Oh cool! I'm gonna have to try this with my Optimus. I'm thankful that I now do not have to gut the Titan master.
