    The only good base mode I've seen is the Takara "official" base mode (it was in the Scourge comic). It just doesn't look right using the Octane wings, though having them angled like that would look similar-ish to the original MW Optimus base.

    I'm not making the original MWOP so I chose what I wanted in my version. Plus when they fold up behind him they represent the smoke stacks.

    Sorry if it sounded like a criticism of the wing choice, it wasn't meant to. Without the context of the base pictures it did sound a bit mean. And, I think Octane's wings are better than Op's overall, they tab better and fit in truck mode much better.

    (You probably won't use it, but there is also a "cyclops" official fanmode from the same comic, using the tailfin as the head)

As you can see some plastic warping happened and I can't get everything to like back up. Regardless he is done other than some additional painting and touch ups.

    I'm going to have to sand and repaint his forearms. I was painting black on the grill and somehow it got all over them. I tried to touch it up and it became a hot mess. This is in addition to the multiple places that I need to touch up. It looks pretty sloppy.
