I did some detailing on my Titans Return Hotrod. Just a little light washing and detailing. Firedrive got red arms and shoes and a black visor.
For the washes I used Tamiya acrylics. I like to match the color of the washes to the areas that I'm washing. On the red I used a mix of red, green, and black. I used the same color on the thighs, and I think it came out a little too dark. The silver bits got a darker mix with some detailing with straight black. To thin my paints, I've been using a Liquitex matte medium instead of water. It keeps the paint fluid without thinning it down the way water does. With more medium, you can also do transparent washed, which are good for making gradients.
The silver drybrushing is Testors. Firedive's arms are Testors Dark Red.
I tried to not make Hotrod too dirty looking, since I know how proud he is of this paint job. Unfortunately, I think he looks like he came out of a tougher scrape than I intended.
The background is made from foamcore. I made it to scale with 7" NECA figures, but I think it's passable for a TF shoot.

Man, this sort of thing tempts me, if this figure ever got a redeco i would probably pick it up, but this paintjob is cool enough that it tempts me as is.

Thanks guys! Firedrive really is the most drab Titan Master I've seen so far. He clearly should have had red arms and legs.

OH Wow! I'm actually loving my headmasters but this is great, and the washing is a nice touch.
