I don't mind that white. I think it looks good actually. I also dig the washed/painted 'whiskers' - it brings out the detail a bit.

 

Agreed ... I too was going towards this one till they screwed up the face. Probably the most important part on any figure and its glaringly bad. This is why I never pre-order anymore. They seem to change things at the last minute. Everything else is awesome about this figure though. This reminds me a bit of Fanstoys Grinder Dino head. But they fixed that so ... Toyworld its now your turn. Fix it. Do it ... Do it ...  

 

At least with the Fanstoys Grinder head...you knew well ahead of time what it looked like. This is starting to ship and it is just being found out.

Looks really good! Now TW create a 'chubby' Powerglide in scale with these two and then we'll be cookin with Crisco.

 

Looks like the head will be easy to replace.

 

The white face looks like it will be easy enough to remove and paint. Not too worried about it. Mines on the way from Uncle Billy.

Can you pls give the following feedback to Toyworld for their "Masterpiece" line:

Choose if you want to go painted eyes, or light piping, and stick with it for all your figures. Consistency is very important. Masterpiece products generally have painted eyes, so light piping should be offered as an extra option in my opinion. Their Cosmos has nice painted eyes, why Seaspray has to be different and have light piping.

So is there any chance the face is just painted white? If so that would be a really easy fix. I'm assuming it's a separate piece though.

 

But that's why I love it!

Too bad about what I assume is a factory error of making the face white. Possible to de-paint the white? Maybe. Yellow is not the most easy to match in paint, but I can do it. There's some fun stuff in there, like the opening hood in vehicle mode with cannons inside, and the opening chest piece, the weapons storing in alt mode that integrates perfectly. Love the colors. Can't believe I am honestly considering an MP Seaspray, but these weird little guys really do add some diversity to the group, and there's certainly nobody who looks anything like Seaspray.

 

Looks great and heftier than Cosmos. I guess that answers the question about the knees.

 

Lol. I've had a lot of talks with TW about light piping. Please forgive me as I have benched that topic for a little bit (along with any conversations about helicopter designs). When it doesn't seem like I'm repeating myself every week or so, I'll try to bring it up again.

Do you know if the face is painted white or actually molded in white plastic? The up close shot of his face up thread kind looks painted. If that's the case it would be a pretty easy fix, just strip off the paint with some rubbing alcohol.

 

Not sure, don't have it in hand yet. But in those pics it looks like the face is painted. So yeah, it might be very easy to correct, get your q-tips!

 

Let's hope so! Also thinking it's painted because that looks like a two piece head design, the front of the head wouldn't be molded in two different separate color plastics. Of course it could be a three piece head; helmet, face, and translucent block. Being painted would be great though.
