That's ridiculous. And I thought the US was bad.

Definitely. I remember back in the day (can't recall if it was 2000 or 2001--maybe '02) when I ordered the Takara reissue Megatron (not the bookstyle, the one before it) and had it shipped with no issues at all. I don't even think it came with an orange tip or anything at that point. I just remember thinking it might be an issue, but it arrived no problem. Then not long after, everything Megs related had to have the orange plug & everyone complained about customs taking or not delivering. I just remember thinking, "damn, I got lucky".

I love the packaging on this & can't wait to crack it open!

Yeah; the US is odd in that assault weapons are legal to purchase, but you can't sell a toy gun without it looking like a toy.

Duh, that's because toy guns are the real problem, right? Gun control? Unconstitutional!

Toy guns? We must stamp out this cancer on our society!!!:dunce

To our credit, no one in the US, that I know of, tried to hold up a convenience store with a Megatron toy. Australia wasn't so lucky.

Really? Well, it seems like the only person that would get hurt in that instance would be the idiot using a toy to commit a crime.
I still think it's ridiculous that toy guns can't look remotely realistic anymore. I had one when I was a kid, it was even metal, it looked exactly like a .38 revolver. And remarkably, I'm still alive. Of course, I was smart enough to not point it at a police officer.

This is why we can't/shouldn't have them any more. Children imitate what they see on TV, and many don't know when playing isn't really playing. Since many parents aren't doing there part, it's better for everyone that these things don't exist.

Japan makes some pretty real looking replicas that make me cringe. The don't just look like real guns, but feel like them too. The weight on these things is scary at times.

I like him but i cant help but think what a wasted opportunity to have a 3rd party g1 megatron thats on scale with the new mp optimus.

To you it's a wasted opportunity. To me it's the Classics-scale Megatron that I've wanted.

This Megatron is not in scale with MP Optimus. This is in scale for classics line.

THIS, jesus christ enough already.. Ugh. Complain that he's not a duck, or a skateboard, or Big Ben. Stop complaining that this G1-accurate Classics Megatron release isn't big enough to be another randomly-scaled MP toy. None of the MP toys are in scale with each other anyway.

They had a pretty good thing going there for a while with all the robot modes being about the same size so it was kind of like a regular size class. Don't know what they're trying to do now though, cause it seems like they're trying to scale Sideswipe/Red Alert to Optimus.

So much win in that out of the package picture. It looks even better than before. Can't wait to have him in hand and have him replace United megatron. I guess whoever get's him in first, is where I'm going to order it.
