Another typical MP reveal by Toyworld: ugly and over stylized. There hasn't been much Toyworld offerings I find bearable lately.

This one appears to have better aesthetics. He's closer to toon, which is what I prefer, not as blocky as their other offerings.

After this glorious weekend of reveals, you know this one is coming and it won't disappoint. Also expect to see Cliffjumper/Hubcap reveals. I cannot confirm but someone told me they also had plans for Seaspray. The problem now is we will have to wait until 2018 to enjoy all of the things we saw this weekend.

This guy looks cute and I like him. But his alt mode and some sections of his robot mode are too far off. In the future some company will make a more accurate MP Cosmos...

As much as I think this is a good rendition of a G1 Cosmos, I just like the Generations update too much to accept that fatty boombatty in my collection anymore. I either need someone to do an OS version of it, or I need a more streamlined third party update… maybe someone could pick up that cancelled titanium series version… Badcube, I’m looking at you – make him Wardog size whilst you’re at it.

This thing looks adorable, cartoony, and fun. I'll be keeping an eye on this. But I can't understand how the current shoulder joints would work without breaking.

    Looks pretty good. I dunno...

I never realized it, but - especially with this particular mold/prototype - Cosmos is a big robot nipple. ...And now I can't unsee it.

I gotta admit I basically skipped this thread, since it was Toyworld... and their stuff (Kup, Springer, Arcee etc) tends to be too skinny or generic or just not hitting the notes I consider MP...

But this is the opposite of generic, and I actually really like him! Yes, even the alt mode! He's tubby, he's full of character... he looks like a really nice change in a sea of 3P heroic robot stuff. Other 3P Cosmos's are going to have to work hard to top this for me :)

    Yup, that's Cosmos!
This was a total surprise for me. Because I kinda love it, and it's coming from TW. The UFO is taller than it should be, but it was pretty tall in the toon, and the bot is just an adorable fatty that I think oozes his character. It's a great design .

Now, I wonder what kind of size it will be?

I love the look of this guy. Will he be Minifig height similar to Bumblebee, Boost, Hatch and Huff? Or will they go big like Wardog? Either way, I'm interested.

I think that making the body smaller both modes would have better proportions.

Same here. Plus with those hips/thighs/legs likely collapsing into the torso I don't think they could make it smaller even if they wanted to.

A ToyWorld MP figure that I'd actually buy.

I haven't seen what XTB is doing but you are right that ultimately the design will always be about proportion for how much the arms and legs take up versus the chest. Your take on the right is correct. The flying saucer does need to look decent. That is part of his appeal. You still get a fat and chunky bot but without an elongated torso that ruins the saucer.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product, Cosmos has always been one of my favorite Autobots :)
Especially seeing this Cosmos shirt a couple weeks back, I was happy to see a 3rd party making him finally :D
