Surprised no video reviews yet. In hand it's pretty decent. If XTB won't be able to deliver Klaatu soon, this may be the go-to MP Cosmos. Good first mover advantage for Toyworld.

Any chance you can give us a pic of him in alt mode so we can see how the head sits in that mode? Is there just a big gap between the body and top of his head?

I don't have the figure here but from what I could tell, the head pushes down most of the way, with just a portion of the top still poking out. There is naturally a slight gap around it because the head narrows toward the top, but it's not a lot of gap from what I recall. Like, it didn't stand out to me.

How are the joints / quality overall, and fun factor / transformation?

All joints were tight, a couple of the ball joints were even a little squeaky-tight.

Some range of motion challenges with the arms due to their shape though I suspect this may be the case with all Cosmos designs. They use some lever joints to help make up for it a bit, which is creative, and he can do some dynamic poses.

Waist articulation is a bit limited but it's there.

Feet are decent. The collapsing mechanism is smart but leg articulation is also a mix of good and just okay.

    Materials felt pretty good.

I did not transform it, so can't comment on that.

Overall I would put this in my collection if we aren't getting XTB's for another 6 months. XTB is the unknown here. If they have improved QC and have better articulation, I might be inclined to go with their Cosmos, but Spaceracer is more than sufficient on its own. Definitely as a standin, and possibly the better option if XTB drops the ball.

Just got mine in from TCP (quick shipping!). Comes in robot mode, all the joints are ball or friction, but nice and tight. The shoulders don't lock in, though everything is tight enough that it's not a problem, I would have preferred a nice positive lock. Also wish they would have worked out an option to store his forearm guns away, but you can kind of fold them under his hands.

Transformation is pretty straight forward, no issues there, forms a nice tight little UFO. In hand the tall upper section doesn't seem as exaggerated. All in all they did a good job on this guy. He looks the part, the build quality is there, as is the fit and finish.

Not a huge fan of the base and flight stand. I guess if you were planning on building an entire display out of them it would be nice, but I would have preferred a good clear articulated flight stand.

Do you have any of the MP seekers? His stand looks like a modified MP seeker base... maybe you could use the peg from that..(?)

Yeah, actually I have several that aren't in use, and it would probably work, as it's just a single hole connection. Might give it a shot if I ever decide to display him in UFO mode. Ugh, that image of him next to the KO Powerglide makes me realize how bad he needs the proper MP treatment.

I'd be willing to purchase you base piece from you. I need many of these for backgrounds in an upcoming stop motion. PM me if interested.

Oh yeah, the base... it's is kind of stupid... it comes in a separate box and is massive compared to the figure. Not sure the thinking behind including it, but it might be better as an optional extra vs automatically included. Would save some shipping and product cost to not include it, and I'd choose that option in a heartbeat.

I hated seeing the hand blasters not having an option to push it in to hide it but seeing him with the rest of the crew looks damn good! I think im going to ending using Toyworld Cosmos for robot mode and XTB for alt mode.

Very nice pic I hope to see reviews on him soon.
