I just picked this guy up at TFCon. Was he supposed to come with a cable for his grappling hook? I have the roller and the hook, but no cable. My figure also seems mysteriously used, despite being sold as new ...

    Maaaaannnnnnn.

So the reason I went with Coolsville was his alt-mode. I'm a motorsports fan. Sue me.
He's been in robot mode since I got him. For some reason, tonight I thought I'd dive in and switch him over.

An hour and a half later ...

Jeez, not fun and definitely takes some squeezing and shoving to get locked in. Those doors were pissing me off.

But he's all tabbed in snug.

Have you tried Downbeat - can compare the transformations?

as per all toyworlds designs, they are based either on Stuio Ox or the original toy, hence the panel behind the head. Some may not like it (me included) but it's there for the toy nostalgia rather than sunbow nostalgia fans. I think it's good toyworld didnt just make another identical Jazz

I've got Coolsville in car mode now and I doubt I'll ever tranform him again. That was absolutely miserable. Downbeat was fine.

I transformed him in 15 minutes without instructions or watching a video of any sort. The small waist pieces were the scariest, but overall I've seen so much worse. A lot of joints squeak and some of the clearances are tight, but really nothing out of the norm for 3rd Party. He is a little tough to tab together in alt mode, but I've found that's why most alt modes end up being solid as a rock. I do wish his spoiler locked in better.

Yeah, the initial transformation, while watching a video was mostly straightforward. I was doing it in the dark with just the laptop screen light. Silly.

But once he was in alt mode, the front doors were nowhere near flush and the whole car mode seemed off. I turned the lights on, and got to work. So I searched this thread and ended up on another video, and I ended up going back and forth several times finding little adjustments here and there that eventually led to everything being tight.

I have not, but it seems his transformation is not nearly as involved.

I watched 3 Coolsville transformation videos and all 3 complained about the transformation and 2 of them actually had trouble during the video. :)

I still love that car mode tho.

The fake car parts at his feet kept me from buying Downbeat.
We all have our reasons for not buying something, even if it's subjective.

Sad to hear its so hard to transform. I was looking at this one pretty hard. I already have Downbeat, but I think I'll just wait for another top 3P to do him.

Man, that looks soooo good. Dammit. Means I'm gonna have to transform him again. :)

Its a challenge but not a bear to transform. The tabbing is the hardest part. I'd like some Martini logos. Otherwise I really like him mostly for car mode, the die cast and paint are really nice.

The only thing that I truly don't like about him is, the tab for his shoulder cannon. I'm afraid over time, the metal tab is going to wear the hole out on the cannon.

Excellent post and video. I found it to be very informative and helpful. Thank you sir! Well done. I still haven't decided which one I want, but your video had a lot of interesting points and observations.
