When is the orange version expected to be released?
2019 per Leo TW
With an expected date of October, my guess is around Christmas with the usual delays.
Nope. Leo TW over on his facebook said 2019. And Leo TW is Toyworld, so there ya go.
Christmas or later...LOFL.
I have bought the green thights and the cartoon head just a couple of weeks ago from OH MY PRIMUS. Maybe they have already something in stock.
Who has the green version in stock?
The Chosen Prime
In USA, TCP and TFSource in stock, just checked. Toy Dojo sold out. Nothing appearing for CP and A3U.
Doesn't Robotoybase still have them too?
Probably asking in the wrong thread but this is a discussion forum.
Should I get this guy or what for fanstoys to make their Devastator? Serious question.
Only you can answer that. you can wait 8-10 years for FansToys to release theirs or get a giftset Constructor now.
Who knows if FT will ever bother after the 16 (off the top of my head) prototypes they currently have in production are out. Even if they average 4 releases a year, and that's being generous seeing as they've released 1 figure in 7 months this year, you're looking at nearly 2023-24 before a release and that's if they don't announce anything before them. All in a market that has g1 releases slowing down.
Fuck that. Enjoy the here and now and decide in half a decade (or more) if theirs is better if it ever comes.
What if XTB or MMC does one? Just wondering
Why do people think that FansToys is always automatically better than other 3P companies? Sure they have several good releases, but they are not by default the best. Apache sucks. So does Rouge. Lupus has limited articulation, and Koot's transformation is about as fun as dropping a brick on your foot. Yes, they are quality, and they are good, but they're not perfect, and they're not as good as say, Grinder or Stomp.
My point is, keep an open mind. XTB has been seriously stepping up their game. Their past few releases have been solid ones. Same goes for BadCube. MMC has the potential to seriously improve as well. Even if FT does produce their own MP-style Devastator, there is ZERO guarantee it will be as good as Constructor. None whatsoever. There is the possibility FT will make a great Devastator, but that is YEARS away. Right now FT is behind on list of releases. They've releases only 1 new figure this year, and Rouge has been lackluster at best.
I'm not trying to be a jerk. All I'm saying is you have to keep an open mind because they players are ever-changing. Who is hot now may not be hot later, and vise-versa. TW nailed it with Constructor. This is the bar. Constructor is the standard to beat, and that's not going to be easy in any way. Not even for FansToys.
I totally understand, there's a lot of money at stake here, too. YOUR money. My money, too. These things are not cheap, and you want the best one. It's tough deciding on which one to get compared to the options, and what MIGHT get released in the future. I'm not saying to get Constructor, nor am I saying don't. That is a choice only you can ultimately make. All I'm saying is that it isn't a sure bet that FT will build a better moue trap.
Yeah. Constructor is gonna be tough to beat
Biggest reason I said get Toyworld's now.
Toyworld Constructor is so good that even Toyworld themselves can't do better. (hence all the recolors)
I mean that with the sincerest respect, as Constructor is the best combining figure I've EVER owned to date. (aside from SOC Voltron)
However, that just might change once X-Trans releases all of their Stunticons.
Tracking says mine is about an hour from me in West Springfield... But wont be here till Monday
Good to know. Thank you.
If you have not found one let me know because I might have a spare that I might want to sell.
