From retail prices, yes, but from other standpoints, like trying to get rare-ish stuff, ehh, maybe a bit overpriced, but it's worth it.

    Your opinions?

    Where would you shop instead?

    Not just overpriced. Unreliable too.

BBTS.com and TFSource.com are both great.

Besides HTS, TRU online, TFS, and BBTS mostly all online toy retailers are rediculously overpriced. There are a few you can find sweet deals at like stuckakid.com and alphasourcetoys.com, but steer clear of HLJ, A3U etc

overprices stuff at ******edly high levels too. but at least anything you order from them will actually get to you in a timely manner. customer service is pretty much unrivaled as well.

tfsource.com often has better prices than BBTS, always packs stuff better than BBTS (ships cheaper too), and they're just as reliable. their customer service is great, although not as amazing as BBTS.

STRONGLY disagree. Agesthreeandup.com had one big delay with MP Megatron, but other than that they have a fantastic track record. I've been screwed by BBTS more than Agesthreeandup.com

HLJ.... why avoid them? they're fantastic.

Oh, when shopping for toys, NEVER EVER ORDER FROM BILL'S TOYS AND GAMES. if you order anything from there, the only way you'll ever get it is to bug the owner via AIM, phone, and e-mail every single day for weeks/months.

I bought from Toywiz once. After waiting months for my pre-order to fill after everyone else had them I canceled my order. They still have open pre-orders for black widow from the alternators line.

BBTS may be a bit more expensive than some others, but They are super fast and super reliable. It's worth it.

HLJ has fantastic prices, yes shiiping can be a bit high because they're in Japan, but if you choose the slower shipping options the wait is so totally worth it.

I got my MP-05 Megatron from them for $96 shipped!

I have never done business with A3U, but have heard nothing but good things about them.

Any website that charges that much for KOs is bunk. I dont care if they're the best KOs you can find, they're still bogus funky versions of legit toys.

Oh, and dont get me started on that MP Starscream repaint thing they offer. Nice idea, but the damn thing costs more than the toy. No spanks. :)

As far as HLJ goes, I prefer to do my transaction with national businesses.

This is quite amusing, as the owner of HLJ is a US citizen living in Japan...

I think BBTS is a span above the rest, generally speaking. Digital-toys.com got "smaller", I dunno why, they have less and less stock availalbe and their product variety dropped in last 2-3 years.
Toywiz.com has insulting high prices, I'd never buy from them. HLJ for us Europeans is paradise :-D

The KOs are not exactly cheap for them to come by, but they get them and resell them because people want them. They price them pretty damn fairly too.

Do you have any idea how much a high quality custom repaint costs to make? not to mention all the time it takes?

Seems like you're against the store just because they offer additional services and products that you personally don't happen to have an interest in. thats a horrible reason to tell people not to do business with them.

are talking about toywiz still? if we are then the only bad thing i have to say is that their shipping is horrible. bought an anime astrotrain from them, first the cram it in a box(the toy was bigger than the box) and then to top it off, they put about five pieces of popcorn styrofoam in there with it-as to protect it from the dangers of shipping. for this.....I hate them. no confidence in them at all. will never order from them again. not sure if they changed their ways, the only way i'll find out if someone here tells me otherwise.

but toywiz.com pales in comparison to these douchebags located in hawaii called toysnjoys.com-STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS NO MATTER WHAT.

I've only purchased from BBTS and TFSource and highly recommend both. BBTS has top notch customer service. TFSource has the best prices and their shipping/packaging is excellent.

Can't comment on the other places since I've never purchased from them. I do have a preorder with Fan2Fan and hope that everything goes smoothly.
