Today I watched GI JOE Sigma 6 on TV and it was the episode where: *SPOILER*

Firefly betray's the JOE team. Personally I thought it was cool to see. The whole reason I bought the figure besides how cool it looks, was also because I knew beforehand he would probably betray the good-guys. But I was thinking, what if a young kid had bought the toy, thinking Firefly would always be a good guy. Then they see him back-stab all of his friends on TV and the kid gets upset, cries and maybe wants to get rid of the toy? I'm sure it could happen. :lol

Can anyone think of any other toyline where one of the main characters betrayed the good guys in the story and joined the bad guys?

Oh yeah, that's another good one. Same with Energon Demolisher. :thumb  Also BW Dinobot after he dies as a Maximal and Megatron revives his spark into a Cold blooded killing Transmetal 2 Predacon.

I'm pretty that Hot Rod and Perceptor were both in league with the Decepticons, in TF:TM. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Oh man, I was quite disappointed that Armada Demolisher betrayed the Autobots and I found G1 Blitzwing's betrayal cool...because he was doing the right thing. It seems that he wanted Galvatron to stop fighting with the Autobots because they had a more dangerous threat - the Quints!

There's Armada Sideways, along with Cybertron Sideways and Soundwave. All of them seem to work for one side but end up playing their own side.
Energon also had Inferno, he started to go a bit loopy before he died (thanks to Galvatron), and Energon Scorponok as well. He became a good guy, died, and came back as a bad guy.

Look at the end of Return of Optimus Prime; Hot Rod is sporting a Decepticon emblem.

Plus there's that conspiracy page that pretty much proves Hot Rod was in league with Megatron.

Armada Wheeljack , Arm Starscream & Cybertron Menasor. Or Cybertron Scourge and his ability to let little girls punk him out. He should've blasted her!!!!

I love when the good go bad, but hate when the bad turn nice.

There's also a G2 Decepticon Laser Rod who was released in Europe as Hot Rod. I always thought they were both the same guy and poor ol' Rod had turned to the dark side.

I wouldnt think that Armada Wheeljack would count, as when the viewer is introduced to him, he's already a Decepticon, and we only see that he was an Autobot in Flashback scenes.
Though you could argue that, later in the series, when Hot Shots trying to negotiate with Galvatron, Wheeljack seems to side with Hot Shot, and for a while they team up.

(<--- 1 of the few that likes the Armada show, Wheeljack rocks!)

No one is mentioning Galaxy Force Noisemaze? a bunch of characters in Galaxy force are traitors, then again, I don't think they had affiliations with either the Autobots or the Decepticons, but there are certainly a lot of changing sides going on in that series.

Fuck, I know where you guys are coming from. One time, I walked into the room to find my Masterpiece Prime flat on his face on the floor...and, you want to know what I saw when I looked at the spot on the shelf where he was displayed?? Yeah, that's right, G1 Ironhide. That little base-tard may not look like much, but he's STTTTROONNGG...and, apparently, a traitor.

You guys are forgetting the biggest action figure traitors of them all: the Clone Troopers from Star Wars. They were advertised as good guys in both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, then BOOM! Order 66.

Yup the Clone troopers are traitors, but they're damn poseable, so all is forgiven.

That's a great example, In fact I remember a guy on another Star Wars forum was really upset after he saw the movie. He said the killing of the Jedis by the Clones totally disturbed him and he would not be buying any clone-trooper related merchandise anymore.
