That really sucks. Between what has been going on in the U.S. and now this in the UK, it is really becoming difficult to get the figures you want without spending an insane fortune! Really sad that they are making it such a chore to collect.

Seriously though, news like this still surprises me because while I understand that its difficult to sell to smaller markets & whatnot (aka, smaller than mainline US stuff in the US), one would think that Toys R US of all would find a way to make profit from it, especially seeing as the UK isn't even really a "small market" in the grand scheme of things at all.

Whilst i don't like to create false hope......

That email was sent to Tru DIRECT, who previously said they couldn't find any info for it, in or around the same time there was information indicating TRU UK were still carrying.

So, is it possible it's not scrapped yet, and Tru Direct in the UK don't know anything about it, or are not carrying it themselves?


That.........said........ the state of the brand is so abysmal in some overseas markets, that outright cancellation wouldn't surprise me.

 

They sell quite well so long as new product is introduced every so often. When Prid first launched it was fairly difficult to find until the Bumblebee oversaturation was reached in the first couple of weeks.

 

Kinda glad I already have MP-10 from TT but I don't get why Hasbro doesn't want to make money as there is a lot of people waiting for the UK release and considering the price difference between the TT and the TRU asian version and the now cancelled UK release many would have jumped on it.

 

Bot Shots. They're everywhere. We had a similar problem with Speed Stars. In the meantime, Generations Wave 1 and Prime Wave 3 are just showing up at UK retail, and we have no idea if we're getting anything beyond those waves. It's bizarre because we're told they sell really well here, despite the complete lack of support from Hasbro and retailers.

 

Hopefully your mate in NYC can hook you up again. I remember all the trouble you just went through to get MP Thundercracker.

 

this is my plan if its true that the uk is not getting him ...with the exchange rate and shipping will be around the same price it would go for if tru uk did stock it

For fans in those countries who can't get it, they may as well be the same thing.

I imagine they sell as well as anything else not offered for sale.

Err, we only report what we're told, and this came from TRU themselves. Where did you find the generations (forbidden planet and import shops don't really count.

There has been an update over the TRU UK Facebook account stating that Masterpiece Prime WILL be coming to the UK and that it might just not be on the customer service systems just yet.

 

I found them in smyths. On euro cards as well too, hardly imported from America.

 

So TRU cust service had it wrong and everyone feraked out?

Why does this sound completely normal.

 

Even the OFFICIAL Hasbro UK Facebook page said they wouldn't be going here, then it changed later on.
