It's been like that for weeks and it's not really newsworthy.

It's been that way since day 1 for Canada. Which is only fair. Back when the American dollar was 1.5 times the Canadian dollar, it made sense that American prices would be lower than Canadian. Now that the dollars are equal, it doesn't make sense that you guys still pay less. Can't say this is entirely unexpected from that viewpoint.

Though, of course I would have preferred lowering the Canadian prices instead.

Even at $69.99, it is still a really great price for Rodimus.

Looking back at it I don't think it's a good deal even at 59.99. Out of the three Masterpiece figures I got...it's easily the worst...Still I have one and I suppose it's a lesson learned. Just don't get toys you're not interested in.

For $60 it's definitely worth the money esp with the target master. At $70 it's still a good deal, but for only $135 the Takara version looks just that much more tempting.

Glad I got mine. I had a feeling TRU may pull another "Grimlock".

I do like MP Rodimus, but even at $59, that's asking a lot for a so-so transformer. I just leave mine in his robot form since that is his finest look anyway.

Don't worry. I'm sure ours will simply get upped to 80 or 90 for the sake of evening things out/because they can still sell it at that price in big cities, and the fact that it magically disappeared from the tru.ca website around the time that the US price went up makes it even more likely for the increase to apply to us too. Also, the dollar value is probably a very small part of why our prices are 20-40% higher for most things (big and small). Instead, I'd sooner think it has more to do with how much less profitable our businesses are in general, and of course how much more it costs to do business up here (despite the lesser return), at least in theory.

However, I've been thinking about buying another to display MISB.. Might still buy it even at the $10 price increase... It's an outstanding figure IMO.

seems to happen with Every TRU exclusive that sellers well, the price goes UP. given that this toy has a habit of literrally falling apart while standing there. No I don't think the Price increase is worth it.

I didn't just see this post, I didn't just see this post, I didn't just see this post... :lol

Seriously though, I've thought about doing that with ROTF Mixmaster so I can set up a pairing display or something, but I think 1 MP Rodimus needs to be my limit.
