Not really. They're BW Ultras... which puts them at the size of today's Megas. So, yeah, based on today's standards they're $20 toys. Which is the Mega/Voyager pirce point of today. The old school BW Megas were like... $15 I think... I forget, because we haven't gotten anything that size since RID. Be nice for them to make a comeback though.

 

I bet when these first come out, there will be some kind of sale to go along with them like they have done for some of their past TF exclusives.

 

What DVD do you think is included? I was thinking like the first 2 eps - Beast Wars part 1 and part 2

 

Probably an episode of the cartoon. My guess would be either the first or last episode of season 1.

Well I had that sig since New Year I think, I took it down for that Civil War craze only. I'm surprised you didn't notice it sooner. On the other hand I don't post that much. I only like to contribute something constructive *ducks from the cans and tomatos*.... Uhm, yes quite right. 

 

Would be cool, but I don't see Hasbro going through the trouble to translate the disc. Once we get larger in-box images, I'm sure we'll find out.

I never hated Hasbro. If it weren't for them we wouldn't be getting tfs at all. Well, maybe diaclones and brave. But no tfs as we know them.

I was referring to the BW ultras being bigger than the BW megas. And the BW ultras are still significantly bigger than today's megas. My Razorclaw from Universe, Primal and Megs all overshadow Cybertron soundwave and some of the energon megas by quite a bit. Its close but the ultras are bigger.

Either way I'm just glad we are getting this set for 1/2 the price of the imports!HECK YES!

 

Yeah, I feel bad for all the Hasbro haters out there. Hasbro continues time after time to give us the best of the best of TFs and people still find something to complain about - not anymore!

This is one exclusive Toys R Us will be glad they picked up, this thing (unlike the VP-Starscream two-pack) is going to sell like hotcakes... big transforming gorilla and t-rex hotcakes. Let's hope this encourages more cool exclusives in the future!

 

I have to get these. I never got the show colorings of these molds. I cant wait to get them.

 

Can someone clarify... I thought RM Megatron was the one with a real left hand and Reborn Megatron still had the perma-tail?

 

Yeah, I've got the Takara set of the Reborn figures. BWR Megatron still has the perma-tail going on.

 

That is fugging awesome! (although not entirely unexpected!) I am so going to buy these... I just gotta wonder how I'm going to afford all of this stuff (short of selling a kidney or something).
