Heads up- Toys R Us website (toysrus.com) is having a Cyber Monday Sale that started Sunday evening. Many (most?) Transformers are on sale for 25% off. Of note is that Masterpiece Rodimus is in stock and selling for $52.49! Free shipping for orders over $49 makes this a great deal for those who haven't gotten him yet. Get them while you can!

I think that's ridiculous. MP Rod may have a few issues, but it's still a brilliant figure and it's a steal at that price.

Get it, it is a fantastic figure, and i am a person who owns a first release takara rodimus, GO GET THAT DAMN MOLD

seriously, anyone who says you shouldn't own this toy is foolish, it is a fantastic figure that requires engineering to be so precise that isn't 100% feesible in a mass production process

It's worth the asking price. I'm not a fan of Hasbro's version (HATE the red panels) but it's worth owning

Don't see anything worth getting. Except for the out of stock TFP toys. Maybe they will be back in stock tomorrow....

Well, either you're the sort of person who's willing to shell out the extra coin for the Takara decos of things or you aren't. I'm personally of the opinion that it's harder to ignore his flaws at four times the price, but the Takara deco is undeniably superior and every time I see it I can freely admit that I'm filled with envy.

I got him at the first price of $59.99 and love him! Since he has since jumped to $69.99, I'd agree that $52.49 (and free shipping cost) is an absolute steal! Almost wish I had waited... almost!

I have both moulds, which cost me the equivalent of ~$290, and I absolutely do not regret it. Takara is superior in every way, but /they're both great and it gives me an excuse to double dip on a brilliant mould. TRU Roddy is going to be my Marvel comics Rodimus, Takara is obviously Hot-Rod (Pink FTW).
I might feel differently if TRU was the only one I had though, he does look much cheaper than Takara's offering.

Sold out for online shipping..only available through store pick up.

my local store is Toys R Us' global flagship store.

And they don't do store pick up. Ridiculous.

Rats. $53 is worth it for this guy (even though I have the Takara one, I really want the targetmaster). I'll have to try the pick-up option, but I'm not too hopeful (haven't seen them a ton in my area).

FWIW, the targetmaster (FIREBOLT Dammit, I don't care what THEY call it), is not all that great. He's massive compared to Roddy, so it looks a bit stupid.

While I appreciate that the site let's you check to see if Rodimus is at a store near you, there's nothing remotely near me that has him (and I'm in the Los Angeles area!) according to the site.

Thankfully, I snagged one at about 5:00 pm or so yesterday when the site still had some for shipping.
