I don't know firsthand, but someone in the MI Sightings thread mentioned they were at 15% now.

 

Correct, action figures are now 15% off across all wave 2 stores.

If I am reading this correctly, the stores listed on there would be the possible saved US stores if a buyer is found? If so, both TRUs I worked at (Mayfield Heights, OH & Niles, OH) would be saved. That's a bit surprising.

Made my potential last trip to TRU. Picked up POTP Optimus and Studio Series Thundercracker.

 

Darn. I was hoping Wichita would be on the list but it looks like we fell just short. I still think that comes from the result of keeping a Babies R Us on the west side of town...closing that one down and rolling all the business into the east location would have probably popped us higher on the list.

My son and I recently got into Gundam. With the revamp the bigger Barnes and Noble are suppose to have a hobby area with some Japanese toys and model kits like Gundam. The large B&N near me has exactly one Gundam kit and it’s been that way for months and months. The whole display area been empty and just look pathetic. While there’s another big B&N about 30 miles away and they have 20 Gundam models. I find distribution and selection for different B&N stores terrible - way worst than TRU. All B&N carries are usually funko, which isn’t how it’s suppose to be.

 

Made my "more than likely" last trip to the nearest TRU last Wednesday and managed to find some Studio Series Thundercrackers. Picked one up as a memento of my last TRU visit and left the rest for others that might want him for that same reason.

 

Has anyone seen any Wave 2 PotP stuff at TRU lately?

 

I'm surprised the greeting card companies didn't come gather them up themselves before letting them get 40% off.

 

You do realize all of the signage states "up to 40% off," right? I don't understand what's so funny.
