Recognizing that "rooting for Toys R Us" means little. We're either rooting for Larian to (essentially) become the new Toys R Us, or we're rooting for someone else to do so. Toys R Us, the current entity, is dying. Nothing will stop that at this point. If the bid is accepted, the money he pays is part of what the creditors get back. If it isn't, they'll get money piecemeal by selling off those assets to others (who may or may not be looking to operate them as a toy store, as Larian intends), which may net less money, or may net more (in much the same way as an eBay seller might decide to sell their toys in one big lot, or in lots of smaller lots, depending on how much trouble they want to go through and whether they think one way will net more profit than another).
