    $40?!

That's one solid markup for a $12 item. I think it's funny how people claim they hate scalpers yet they rant and rave about how great BBTS is.

But they do have some great customer service!

I hear about the great customer service a lot, but man, BBTS pretty much always comes across as scalpers if you ask me.

Scalpers can still have great customer service!

Funny, I found two this weekend at two different TRU's. 1st time I've seen her since the time I bought her. They were both the new flat finish too.

Yeah, that's f'ing ridiculous. I'll be surprised (and displeased) if BBTS manages to sell those at that price. If you're that desperate, people, JUST GO TO EBAY.

Maybe it includes free lifetime broken hand replacement????

BBTS does have good customer service but you shouldn't buy US mass release items from them unless you absolutely have to.

Well, as usual, shop around if you don't like the prices. BBTS is great, but it's certainly not always the best place to buy Transformers.

Seems like I've seen lots of Arcees in the trade threads. I've even got an extra one that I haven't bothered putting up for trade because there were so many available.

it's a great figure, I really like it, but it's not worth $40.

Finally got my Arcee from a fresh case on May. 21 this past weekend. Picked up two at a toys r us. No satin finish yet though I'm pleased with arcee.

    Worth the wait.

Actually the Hasbro case these come in lists the set as TRU Import.

A U.S. Import for Hasbro International Trading.

Not much of a difference, but Toy Arena has these for $35.

I have two extra if anyone needs them at cost, I think they were about $12.75 with tax.. I can't stand it, ITS A NEW TOY!!!! STILL IN THE STORES!! So if anyone still needs her, go out and find it at your store and save some money. If you cannot find her and want to pay shipping, then give me a pm. Just trying to help out fellow collectors.

I am confused, which is more popular, the flat colored one or the sparkly one?

I got the NEST Voyagers from BBTS...slight markup, but I basically paid cost + a few bucks' Impatience Tax. Also have the upcoming Hasbro releases that I simply will not risk not being able to find on preorder from them, again they have them at very slightly over cost.

I will probably start a serious hunt for Arcee once Rodimus comes out (because I will be on a serious hunt for Rodimus, lol). The figures seem meant to be paired, even if their Animated selves...weren't, ever.

BBTS is great for toys that aren't released in the US. It's a very reliable and safe way of getting them at a somewhat decent price. I wouldn't buy things through them that are available on the shelves here in the US though unless you have money to burn.

Speaking of which, my Animated Blackout pre-order from BBTS just came into stock and will be shipping shortly :)

For the most part, I love BBTS. However, just because you can get away with selling something for such a marked up price doesn't mean you should. In this case, I would say it hurts their image more then helps, since this is very obvious scalpage. They do this on occasion though, and of course I don't buy the item, but someone does, so the lesson is never learned. Or maybe I'm wrong and there isn't one. Who knows?

I agree, and I think in the case of things like Arcee, it is a decent way for people in other countries to get an import from the US in a safe and reliable way. I still don't think that I would pay $40 for Arcee if I was in a foreign country, and am glad I do not have to make that decision.

Well, looks like in the next week or so I should know if there is enough stock of Blackout to fill my preorder, really keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

If we knew they were driving around town snapping up Arcees out of the back of TRU trucks that's one thing. We don't know their source so we can't really say how much of a markup they are getting. What'll hurt their image is how they put up preorders for Dion and SG Cyclonus but none for PCP. If they suddenly get a stock of PCP set at ebay prices then . . .

On the opposite end they sometimes get a bad rap when it's undeserved. They were selling HA Mudflap for $50 but case combo of Mudflap/Bumblebee was always $70. Given the inevitable overstock based on their business and how many times BB has been released it's a fair price but a lot of people wouldn't see it that way.

One more note, robotkingdom restocked Japanese Arcee at $70.
