There were Marvel figures years ago that transformed, before Marvel was acquired by Hasbro and the Crossover line came about.

Pretty much any Super Sentai toyline features a transformation gimmick for the mecha, either by a stand-alone transforming figure or as a combination feature.

    Macross/Robotech
Voltron (GoLion, Dairugger XV, and Albegas)
... I'm just going to cut the list off here. There's too many. Damn near anything out of Japan between the mid-80's and mid-90's is some giant robot that transforms or combines in some fashion.

There are dozens of them in Japan. From long running to small lines that go quick.

There have been quite a few Power Ranger figures that Transform. I don't mean just combining to form a robot, I mean actually transform from one thing to another. Off the top of my head, the white tiger zord and red dragon zord could both go from beast to bot mode. There was also a blue police car that could go from car to bot. Lastly, I remember having a little wheel zord that changed from a black wheel to a robot.

TMNT, I remember having toys of the turtles going from mutants to normal turtles. Also of Rocksteady and Bebop going from human to mutants too.

I remember some of the Digimon figures could transform.

Forgot the name of it, but there was a line of prehistoric theme transformers back around 2000.

I had that one, and the Patamon/Angemon one. No idea where they are now. I think maybe I had a sort out when I moved house and gave them to a friend's kid.

How about plushes that turn inside-out? Do those count? Like Pokéballs that turned into Pokémon characters? Or those Mogwai plushes that became Gremlins when turned inside-out?
