The more I see it, the more I hate it. That Prime is blockier then a ton of bricks. I have 4 Prime toys nearby, and every single one of them is a better designed and better looking toy.

The alt mode is, admittidly, nice. But I hate that robot mode with a passion.

Not trying to rip on the designs of the movie but i wonder if a toy that was fully truthful to them would pass safety tests.

prime looks good. with the exception of robot modes, i haven't had much of a problem with "the core line" molds i've seen, which are the only ones i'd be interested in anyway.

Great read, nice prime. He looks like the leader, right? The robot mode doesn't work as well as the deluxe prime, but that vehicle mode is just amazing. I might just have to buy him anyway.

I like it. Looks much more like what I would consider a Transformer than the movie designs. Good articulation, detailing isn't insanely overbusy unlike a lot of the movie toys, relatively humanoid, clear windows, non-animalistic hands...

Need to get rid of the flames though. I might paint 'im black.

Well, it looks like Funkatron is right, there's two bits on each foot that look like they swing out or around for the toes. But EDcomics, if you prefer toe-less, it obviously works fine that way too.

I'm torn on this one, OP looks awesome, but I've already told myself that I wasnt going to get any of the Movie toys. Gotta save money!... ok ok maybe just a couple... dam... ok ok maybe a few... aaaahhhhhhhh

It's funny how the transformation looks pretty similar to the one found on Fast Action Battler Optimus Prime.

I am so getting that Prime. The vehicle mode remindes me of M.A.S.K. Rhino somewhat. Ahhhh...The memories playing with M.A.S.K. Rhino and the Boulder Hill playset.

Looks much better then previous shots of the toy, the previous ones made the wheel well ankle look HUGE. I'll have to see this in hand before I decide to buy it as I'm not sure which of the shots have been more accurate. Not bad though.

That's one of the nicest looking alt. modes for a Transformer I've ever seen, in my opinion (and I am counting Alternators).
The 'bot isn't too bad, but it only reflects a fraction of the greatness the movie version has (although I do appreciate why the toys will not be truly representative of their on-screen counterparts.).

wow, i really like that design of prime. i kinda wish thats how he would look in the movie, more of a blocky design to him which makes him look better. now only if takara would release these guys in diecast i'm all in.

i also highly doubt that this will be the best transformer toy line ever made. one, you have alternators and binaltechs which are quite possibly the best transformer figures ever made, a perfect representation of the transformers in modern day stylish cars that keep them looking real and you have the masterpieces, which speak for themselves, i doubt the movie line will top either of those two. o yea, can't forget classics, jetfire owns! lol

Tires look like rubber - the wheels themselves are made of grey/silver plastic, not painted, like most one-piece TF wheels are.
