Damn it, the gold on wings are sticker. Honestly, that bothers me more than the combiner pegs and the skinny waist.

Predaking looks good to me.
Not sure why so much hate is flowing here.
I love my G1's as much as the next fan... But I think the venom is a bit over the top.

I like the person who said "worst version of Predaking out of all of them..." Since there hasn't been another version except for the G1s and it's reissues. since the Beast Hunters and Universe versions were completely different characters and toys...

 

There's like 8 3rd party Predaking's, probably what mr. butt-hurt was referring too.

It's disappointing to see so much anger directed toward inanimate objects.

I fall back on what I (and others) have said in the past:

"Don't Like It? Don't Buy It."

Although 80% of the people who whine and complain about it still go out and buy it the moment it's up for pre-order or hits shelves.

 

Pretty damn excited to get Predaking, as well as some eventual wing upgrades (and maybe cannons). I think it is going to look great across from Devastator, and looks like all elbows can bend. Still halfway regret not getting the Takara Devs, but my second one was too cheap to pass up. Just hope I can get my second set of Pred on sale.

The waist being skinny is the only issue I see, if ypu just got some styrene and made boxes to slide on there it would be fine.

The funny thing is people making fun of the waist on the new one are fine with the G not having a waist and with the shoulders being as wide as the thing is tall.

 

I doubt it considering the past few Beast Wars figures released at general retailer sold horribly and shelfwarmed everywere.

 

PE will probably get money from me again. Smh. I’m not impressed but I am such a sucker for wanting it  

 

Rapidfire, you could not be more wrong. Easly the best Predaking so far especially when it comes to the individual Predacons, recapturing their G1 designs. Never bought any third party Predaking wannabee, they did not do it for me, and I am glad I waited for the official toy, unlike with Devastator.

 

I hope this Predaking's articulation is way better than my G1 reissue, which is way too top heavy.

I'm late to the PotP Predaking discussion, and it's going to take me hours to just read through that topic, but does the PotP Predaking have the entire upper torso, waist, and thighs as a separate combiner piece? I doubt Razorclaw can form that much mass by itself   haha.
I haven't bought any iteration of Predaking, mostly due to lack of money, but now that I am better off, I'm going eager to buy more TFs, and am looking at getting a Predaking. I'm a bit disappointed with this one, so I'm going 3rd party.

 

Everything's integrated. Tantrum and Headstrong carry the thighs/pelvis on their backs.

I thought the same when I saw the pictures. Turned out that the leg bots carry the thighs and part of the waist, the arm bots carry part of the shoulders, and divebomb's backpack forms the wings and part of the torso. Everything is integrated, except for feet and hands, but the individual bots have lots of kibble.

 

I haven't heard of that yet, but that makes sense.

Thanks for showing me that image. I'm not a fan of that massive thigh hanging off his back like that.  

I don't have an issue with combiner parts being separate from the individual bots, but I guess I'll need to see someone's video review of this Predaking to see if it is done well or not.

 

I'll reserve judgement for in hand picks but he's definitely not the badass predaking from that old dreamwave pic. Still looking forward to him though.
