Which Transformers have surprised you as being a great toy or a lousy toy?

I recently received a Classics Cheetor, and I was surprised about how bad it was, The saddest part of it was that I was not expecting much out of the toy to begin with. On the other hand I also received a ROTF Rampage and discovered how much of a cool and complicated toy it was.

Deluxe ROTF Wheelie surprisingly ended up being one of my favorite figures from the line.
I just love the little gremlin bot.

One that I was let down by was Deluxe ROTF Blazemaster.
I donno why, but when I first saw pics for this guy, I thought he looked really neat. But he's really just kind of a mess.
I tried to like him too, but I'm just not impressed with the design. It just feels really flawed to me.

I think Sideways is really the dark horse of the line. IMO.

    Voyager Megatron from ROTF.
I got him for Christmas and I can't stop looking at his awesome paint job and all his details.

Human Alliance Bumblebee. From the way people had been talking about him, I was expecting something amazing. What I got was a run of the mill figure. Nothing outstanding, nothing innovative and some unforgivable flaws.

Oh, and ROTF Rampage surprised me with his suckitude. I don't expect much from the ROTF line, but elbows shouldn't be beyond HasTak's technology.

I really liked the difficulty of ROTF Leader Optimus Prime. I was expecting something intense, but it was the perfect level of difficulty. Took me about an hour to get it down.

The seats underneath his arms spring to mind. If they had a simple hinge to allow them to fold up they'd be a lot better. As it is, BB wanders around with a car seat strapped to each arm. There's no need for that at all, and certainly not on something being praised as almost a modern Alternator.

The angled chest pieces that spring back to their car mode position if a fly guffs in the house next door. Why even make those spring loaded?

I'd have to get the figure out (haven't really looked at it since I bought it a couple of months ago) to refresh my memory on details, but I do remember finding the upper body underwhelming as well.

Yeah, that was a good one alright. Underrated.

Black Arachnia also surprised me. For the shelfwarmer of the line, I think she turned out the best fembot to date.

ROTF, I think I called them alright for the most part. Ones I thought would suck, did, and ones I could tell were awesome, were.

The biggest surprise for me was ROTF Starscream. I was surprised how solid and precise the engineering on that was.

Human Alliance Sideswipe is another. In some ways it sucked even more than I'd anticipated, but at the same time, it looks a lot better in person than in pictures. It's both better and worse than expectations.

I am kind of the exact opposite on HA Bumblebee. I went in thinking "ehh". But man he is cool. The headsculpt is the best we have gotten from any tf in years. Overall, not the best TF of the year, but the best from the ROTF line minus Leader Optimus.
