    West Texas-

Went to my local Toys'R'Us today (in search of McFarlane's Halo Sergeant Johnson), and I stumbled upon a wide variety of Toy Story toys. It was so unexpected, and they looked awesome.

Are they popping up anew elsewhere?

I also noticed they put out some unsold WALL-E toys; but there weren't many of those; nor were they marked down.

YEP, seen them in several locations here in vegas.
Apparently TS1 and TS2 are coming back to the theater as a double feature.
I guess they are trying to make sure everybody is paying attention when TS3 comes out.

The price point of 9.99 is really awesome for such small figures. I mean it, really. Especially for Ham. With all his non-articulation and non-bank function, he is totally worth the ten bucks. Hats off to Mattel and TRU for that attempt at gouging.

Otherwise, I do like the bucket o' soldiers, but they always have those in the Joe aisle.

They need a high-end Buzz like the ultimate Wall-E.

When I saw them today, they had 4 or 5 kinds of Buzz. 2 of them were decently articulated action figures. 1 was a stationary electronic moving statue thing. And the biggest one was a highly articulated, electronic action figure. There may have been a nice variety of Woody, but I didn't pay any attention to him.

Target has a bunch of them too. I really like the $50 Buzz Lightyear toy. Too bad my kids aren't into TS anymore.

Buy it, set it somewhere accessible, and see if your kids can resist its awesomeness.

Yes, I have also spotted TS toys at Target as well. I'm tempted to get the $50 Buzz toy.

2 mentions of $50 Buzz. Is that the big one with the great articulation and the electronics? I didn't pay attention to the prices when I was at TRU.

Once my Target finished the reset, their was a third of an aisle full of TS stuff. I was very suprised, not just cause they were TS, but because of the HUGE amount they had.

I've always thought the TS toys were weird as hell and pointless at best, and price gouging at worst.

Why would I want a talking doll whose pullstring is just cosmetic, and can't actually talk? Or a bank I can't put money in? Or a Mr. Potato Head who's parts I can't rearrange? Or an RC car that isn't remote controlled, and I have to push it?

Toys of other toys are ridiculous.

Went to Target today, and I counted 6 different kinds of Buzz
3 were giant, about 10 inches tall. 2 of those had electronics. 1 of the electronic ones had automatic moving parts. The 3rd one was simply big, but didn't have electronics, but it was very articulated.
2 toys were 6-inch action figures.
and the last 1 was a plastic statue-like thing (like Transformers Robot Heroes).

The big Buzz's cost no more than $30.

Also, this time I did pay attention to Woody. I saw 3 kinds of him.
1 was 13 or 14 inches tall, had a FABRIC BODY!!! So awesome
    2nd was a regular 6-inch action figure.
3rd was a little statue thingy like Robot Heroes.

I also noticed BoPeep (is that her name in the movies?), and Rex. Rex had exactly the same articulation joints as in the movies - big clunky jaw hinge and all. It was nifty to see that.

Saw them at my Target. I was going to get Buzz, but then I saw the price. $60? Are you serious? Wow. That is WAY too much. Said it spoke 65 phrases and had a talk-back feature, or something. I'll have to look for the other types of Buzz's. Also saw two identical ones for lower prices, but I don't know what the exact differences are.

Has there ever been a Buzz who does all the things the toy of Buzz in the movie does?

With the exception of talking and walking on its own? Yes. Twice. Once back in '97, and also now.

3 buttons on the right side of his chest make him say phrases.
Red button on the left of his chest launches his wings.
Button on his right wrist initiates his "laser", and makes sounds.

What else did he do in the movie?
