No. For the love of God, no. End it at three Pixar, know when to stop a franchise. Learn from Dreamworks mistake with Shrek. And your own creation, Cars.

    NO NO NO!!!!!!!

It was fine where it ended. If they want to continue the story make a cartoon out of it (i guess playtime or something like that)

If this is true, I'll be hesitantly optimistic. The past three films have been near-perfect, and I don't see how another could be screwed up. However, with Cars 2, my faith in Pixar has been crippled somewhat.

Besides, he didn't sound like he actually knew anything, just the "oh, yeah, sure, yeah..." thing most actors do.

I hope that he was just winding them up.

What we got with the existing 3 films was a perfect trilogy with the end wrapping things up nicely.

I know it's weird to have an "I love it so much that I don't want any more" standpoint, but that's how I feel.

I honestly don't get what people see in this movie, especially 3. I thought it was rather boring and kind of had a dragged out story line. I remember watching it and feeling like it just kept going and going. How many times can these toys get "lost" and then miraclously found again. The kid is old now, what's 4 going to be about, they follow him into a retirement home?

I figured this would happen when Disney purchased Pixar. Disney is board run, and they love to exploit properties till they are no longer viable. They would rather have another movie of the same thing than risk a chance on an unknown property. We may see the creativity slowly leave pixar like we saw from Disney in the mid 90's through early 2000's.

Toy Story 3 as a movie ended perfectly, and it ended the trilogy even better. I will be pissed beyond belief if they make a fourth.

Eh, I dunno. I mean if the movie's good, then of course I wouldn't oppose it, but it's just that TS3 wrapped things up so well. Guess I have mixed feelings.

I could swear there was a thread much like this, with much the same sentiments, when Toy Story 3 was announced. How it was horrible that Pixar was doing another sequel, that there didn't "need" to be another Toy Story movie after Toy Story 2, there was nothing else for the characters to do, Disney's eeeeeeeeevil executives were ruining Pixar (possibly forever), etc. Flash forward a few years, TS3 is released and is generally acclaimed as one of Pixar's best efforts and possibly the best of three Toy Story films. My point? If a fourth movie in the series does happen, I'll wait until we get some actual information about the quality/content of the film, rather than just decrying it simply for existing.

It'll only work if they bring something new and truly original to the table.

If TS4 happens, I'm sure it'll be an excellent movie, but it would ruin the third's ending.

I can think of one way to not undo or devalue the events of the previous films.

Use a new bunch of toys. Or turn the focus on those toys who appeared in the first two movies, but did not appear in the second, such as Bo-Peep.

Yeah... but then you'd have people complaining where's Buzz/ where's Woody.

Personally, I haven't watched the third one, yet. But the only way they can make a fourth one is if the girl is the human they're trying to get back to, and really there isn't anything they can do that they haven't done already.

    I'd love to see this.

If TS4 is anything as good as the first three, then I'll be there on day one.
