Plastic wheels, opaque windows and windshield. Uneven wheels on the ground if you don't transform it right.

Poor articulation. In this day and age it's completely inexcusable.

Otherwise I'm pretty laid back when it comes to things like plastic color and paint. If the mold is good, that's all that matters to me.

    1) Mismatching hues of what's meant to be the same color.
    2) Pale grey plastic. - Is dark grey plastic that expensive?
    3) Moderately sized alt modes that end up as small robots. Dirge and Hailstorm, i'm looking at you.

    Sloppy paint.

I realize the paint won't always be perfect - but if it's visibly sloppy I'll pass on the figure until I find one with better paint apps. And sometimes, like in the case of the Target 2-pack with Bumblebee that came out last year, I'll pass all together because the paints apps are bad across the board.

These for sure. Some others that i have seen posted that i agree with
    1. That gray plastic thats just great at looking unpainted.
    2. Unbalanced paint apps. By this i mean putting all of the paint apps in one mode so the other mode looks dull and boring.
    3. Figures with lights and sounds that go off on their own. So damn annoying.
    4. Missiles that fire on there own due to poor triggers.
    5. Kibble that significantly interferes with articulation.
    6. Light piping that does not work due to paint apps on the eyes and that does not work due to kibble blocking the light from hitting the clear plastic.
Seems like a lot of complaints but peeves implies minor irritation nothing that ever ruins figures.

I'm stealing this guy's #2. I hate the bland looking gray plastic used on most movie toys.

    • Lack of thigh swivels. I don't really pose my figures when they're on the shelves, but it still really annoys me for some reason.
    • Sensitive missle launchers.
    • Non-essential accessories. The DOTM weapons are looking like a big turn-off for me at this time.

    1) When the absence/presence of ONE joint (whether it occurs on one or two limbs is another thing entirely) makes/breaks a figure (Leader Starscream's wrists, things like that)
    2) That goddamn light gray plastic. I don't mind the look so much as I mind that it's softer than all the other plastics they use. And it's not a good "softer". I almost always find QC errors with it that could have been avoided by using a harder plastic.
    3) Things that aren't used in all the modes (G1 combiner pieces, etc)
    4) Lights and sounds. Lights = Cool. Sounds = neat sometimes. Lights and sounds that go off at the most inconvenient times during transformation and hardly ever when you actually want them to = not cool.

This plus Transformations so complicated they could be mistaken for rubik's cubes.

lack of weapons in deluxe or high classes.

and lastly light and sound features that are overly sensitive.

    1) Bad paint applications
    2) Sticker and paint wear as a result of transformation
    3) Chrome wear
    4) Poorly pre-applied stickers
    5) Figs that are a pain to make stand on their own

I only collect G1's so my peeves are confined to them.

Especially when those images conceal the flat grey plastic or orangey reds to which i referred earlier.

    Brittleness.
Soft plastic that didn't need to be soft (I.E. Cybertron Mudflap's sword). Vector Prime's sword I understand. Translucent rigid plastic tends to be more brittle than solid-color rigid plastic. Flying characters tend to get thrown, so his wings were made from soft plastic to stop them from shattering. His sword became soft due to being on the same sprue.
    Extortionist pricing on parts.
    Scarcity of replacement parts.

    Ebay:
    1.) Missle launchers. Why?

1a.) I'm pretty sure for what it takes to put the 100 billionth rocket firing mechanism in, we can slightly better paint apps.

1b.) 3mm clip weapons. Skullgrin was purchased pretty much for extra weapons. They're much more versatile, and add a LOT more play value than a button I'm going to accidentally hit and have to play "find the missle" with.

2.) Panels and kibble that could be easily moved. Sgt. Kup's arms are a biiiiig one.

3.) Simple joint issues (ROTF Leader Murder Arm, Drift waist)

4.) Pieces I'm terrified of breaking (ie, ROTF Bludgeon's hand.)

They work for some figures. But some of them make me scratch my head.

Tomahawk (IMO) didn't need them. RtS Lugnut's is kind of pointless, considering how awkward the launcher is to begin with. And with 25 3mm clips, I think a few pieces of weaponry would have been awesome.

But for a figure like Hailstorm, yeah, I'm down with launchers.

Universe Powerglide easily comes to mind as one that did not need the launcher.
